1/ Today we broke ground on the new Harrington Industrial Park, which will create hundreds of jobs and strengthen our state’s economic growth—thanks to a federal investment secured by @coons.senate.gov and @bluntrochester.senate.gov last Congress.
Rep. McBride, Senators Blunt Rochester and Coons, and Harrington leaders participate in the ground breaking.
My office will be hosting Mobile Office Hours at the Route 9 Library in New Castle on Monday, August 25, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Our Constituent Advocate Team will be on hand to help with a wide range of issues—from federal tax refunds to passport renewals.

This president is taking notes from his favorite dictator. Let’s be clear: a president with popular policies wouldn’t need to illegally gerrymander districts, ban voting machines, or abolish vote-by-mail. This is an all-out assault not just on free & fair elections—but on American democracy itself.
While in Harrington last week, I joined Delaware Electric Cooperative for its annual meeting—a great opportunity for members and the community to come together, hear important updates on DEC’s efforts to lower electric rates across the state, and discuss how elected leaders can help.

Mike Castle was a giant in Delaware politics—having served in the state House and Senate, as Lieutenant Governor, Governor, and in the very seat I now hold in the U.S. House. My deepest sympathies are with Jane and all his loved ones as they grieve this great loss. Read my full statement here:
1/ Today marks 90 years since Social Security became law—providing generations of Americans with the benefits they’ve earned. Congress should be working to protect and expand Social Security, not cutting the staff that administer it, like the Trump administration has done.

I was excited to visit the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover—a testament to DE's role in aviation history. The collection includes aircraft from World War II to the modern era, including Air Force Two, which was used by several vice presidents. A must-see when visiting the heart of our state!

1/ Ensuring that seniors and older adults can age with dignity is paramount. That’s why I visited B’nai B’rith House in Claymont to share how I’m working to lower prescription drug costs and protect Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP from ongoing attacks by the administration.

Delaware lost a beloved neighbor. John Brady wasn’t just a trailblazer—he was a leader whose life was anchored in service to others. His kindness, courage, & generosity won’t soon be forgotten, & his legacy will continue to inspire all who work to make our state a better place. Rest in peace, John.
What better way to celebrate our boss’ birthday today than with a Taylor Swift × “august” × Rep. McBride collab? Happy birthday to the fiercest defender of Delaware—and fearless Swiftie—Congresswoman McBride! Love, Team McBride 🖤🤍

1/ I was honored to host Congresswoman Gabby Giffords in Wilmington to talk about how Delaware has made historic progress in combating gun violence—and how the Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are undermining our safety.
1/ Trump’s assault on federal workers continues—this time stripping collective bargaining rights from VA employees, the very people who ensure our veterans and their families receive the care and support they deserve.
