If you want to increase funding for cancer research and expand access to health care, I’ll be happy to meet you anywhere or any time. But I won’t be holding my breath. (4/4)
I will not tolerate lies and a lecture about decorum from extremists that tolerate an insurrection and every day degrades our political discourse. (3/4)
I held my 27 year old husband’s hand when he died from cancer. I am offended by their heartless policies toward cancer patients, survivors, and their families. The volume of your cheers for a cancer survivor won’t drown out your support for closing down life-saving cancer clinical trials. (2/4)
Republican politicians would rather talk about whether people clapped for a brave boy with cancer (we did and I did) rather than the fact that they are cutting cancer research and gutting health coverage for half of America’s kids, including kids with cancer. (1/4)
Here are my thoughts on Trump’s Joint Address to Congress last night.
Today, I kept that promise to Delaware workers by becoming an original co-sponsor of the PRO Act this Congress. At a time when the cost of living continues to rise and pay remains too low, it is vital that workers have their voices heard. (2/2)
One of the promises I made when running for Congress was to sign on to the PRO Act, critical legislation to strengthen worker's rights and their ability to collectively bargain for better pay, better benefits, and safer working conditions. 🧵
Meet Nelson Hill – president of the Delaware AFL-CIO and my guest for tonight’s Joint Address to Congress.
I’m grateful to have him by my side tonight as we stand in opposition to this administration’s assault on working people.
Delawareans elected me to represent them, and I am claiming my seat tonight on their behalf because the president should have to address a room that represents the full diversity of America, not just sycophants. (3/3)
While I vehemently oppose the president's Project 2025 agenda that is decimating lifesaving programs all in pursuit of lining the pockets of billionaires, I have decided to attend for that very reason. (2/3)
I've heard from many of my constituents wondering whether I will attend the president's Joint Address to Congress tonight. 🧵
No matter what Trump says tonight, he's started a trade war with our closest allies and it will only result in higher prices for American workers and families.
I'm looking forward to working with Secretary Patibanda-Sanchez to further our economic development and propel our state into the future. (3/)3
This is a critical role within our state government that requires both the qualifications and dedication necessary to grow our state's economy, attract new businesses to Delaware, and invest in our beloved state libraries. (2/3)
I was honored to join community members and local leaders last week to celebrate the appointment of Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez, Delaware's new Secretary of State. (1/3)
Joining me for the president’s Joint Address to Congress tomorrow will be Nelson Hill, president of the Delaware AFL-CIO.
I'm grateful to have him stand with me in our ongoing fight against this administration's effort to rip off DE worker's rights in order to line the pockets of the ultra wealthy.
It was great to stop by Governor Matt Meyer’s 302 Day Community Resource Fair today.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our state and strengthen our communities than by connecting Delawareans with our state agencies and nonprofits to help them thrive.
Any time I enter or leave my office in Washington, DC, I pass under the same 302 sign. It's a constant reminder of what I came here to do – serve the people of Delaware.
I'll continue working each day to deliver for you, the First (and best) State in the Union.
Happy #302Day, Delaware!
REMINDER: In one hour, @repdexteror.bsky.social and I will be LIVE tonight on Instagram talking about the damage that House Republicans’ budget would cause to hardworking Delawareans and people across the country.
See you there!
Wishing a meaningful and blessed month of #Ramadan to all who are celebrating in Delaware and across the country. Ramadan Mubarak!
