I grew up in a union household, and I know firsthand how unions benefit hardworking families. I call on the President to reverse this order so that our dedicated public servants can continue to effectively provide the services that Americans count on every day.
This executive order not only removes a key avenue for federal workers to resolve issues without disrupting government operations, it will also continue to undermine morale and make it harder to recruit and retain the nonpartisan experts needed to effectively protect and serve the American people.
This action will make our nation less safe and undercut the critical operations that Americans count on – such as protecting national security, providing care to veterans and responding to emergencies – by eliminating federal workers’ ability to organize for better workplace conditions.
