16 years ago today, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, clearing the way for millions to access affordable health care.
Democrats won’t stop fighting for health care to be a reality for all.
A reminder that Democrats want TSA agents to be paid. We’ve supported targeted funding to keep them on the job. What we won’t do is sign off on a DHS funding bill that lets ICE continue to terrorize our communities. Congressional Republicans are refusing to separate the two for political gain.
Making Medicare Advantage the default option hurts patients and taxpayers, but it will make insurance execs a lot of money. I introduced a bill, the Protecting Medicare Choice Act, which will make this illegal.
Another bad idea straight from Project 2025. Medicare Advantage is private, for-profit insurance that overcharges American taxpayers by billions every year and regularly denies seniors the care they need.
I am committed to protecting the Affordable Care Act against GOP attacks and to fighting to bring the tax credits back!
16 years ago today, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law. Like Joe Biden said, it was a big f’ing deal!
Tens of millions of Americans received the coverage they needed, and insurers could no longer deny care for pre-existing conditions.
Let’s go Badgers Women’s Hockey! Good luck at the finals this afternoon against Ohio State.
Trump is focused on everything BUT lowering costs for people. Now he wants a gold commemorative coin with his face on it.

Congrats to the Wisconsin Badgers Women's Ice Hockey on making it to the Frozen Four. Good luck at your game tonight vs. Penn State!

It is deeply shameful that Republicans always find money for wars, but are unable to allocate funds to take care of the American people. Congress should immediately reject this request.

Instead of getting us into another quagmire, this money could go towards lowering costs for Americans, including by fully funding the ACA tax credits, feeding hungry kids, & taking care of our veterans.
He walked us into this catastrophic & deeply unpopular war. This is a war of choice with no apparent endgame.
Recent reporting has shown that this war is already costing American taxpayers between $1 & $2 billion a day and has caused the deaths of 13 servicemembers, nearly 1,500 Iranian civilians, & dozens of civilians throughout the Middle East. Donald Trump owns this war.
It is preposterous for the White House & the Pentagon to think of requesting any defense money from Congress while waging a war we never authorized, let alone $200 billion.
I was honored to secure $1 million for The Center for Black Excellence & Culture to build a brand new facility that opens in just a few months.
It was exciting to get a behind the scenes tour from its founder Rev. Dr. Alex Gee before it opens!
What is the war in Iran costing us? Watch to find out.
Trump doesn't give a f*ck about lowering your bills.
Good luck to Badgers Men's Basketball! Let’s win this!
