A Georgia abortion ban denied her basic medical care and robbed her of her dignity. I am heartbroken. I send my deepest condolences to her family as they navigate their grief and finally lay Adriana to rest, and I am holding her sons in my heart.
Adriana Smith should be here today. Her voice trusted, her medical crisis treated, her life saved, her dignity honored. But instead, her body was made an incubator for months following her death, her family denied the right to make personal medical decisions.

This ruling is devastating and will exacerbate harm for children who depend on this essential and often life-saving, healthcare. Trans rights are human rights, and despite this setback, this Congresswoman will never stop fighting for our trans neighbors to show up as their full, authentic selves.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court upholds a Tennessee law that restricts access to gender-affirming care for minors.
More damning confirmation of how harmful Trump and Republicans' Big, Ugly Bill would be. They want to make millions of people sicker and poorer just to make billionaires more well-off. The cruelty is the point. And the Senate must reject this shameful bill.
A tweet that reads:

NEW analysis by the Congressional Budget Office shows the "One Big Beautiful Bill":

1.) Makes the bottom 30% worse off

2.) Finances tax cuts that make the top 10% in particular better off.

This is not shared sacrifice--it's a fiscal transfer from the bottom to the top.
Genetic data is among the most intimate and sensitive personal information to exist, but 23andMe are failing in their responsibility to protect it. That's why we're calling on them to ensure they get consumers' consent before including this data in any bankruptcy sale.

Pressley, colleagues demand 23andMe protect sensitive consumer data prior to any sale
Our #HR40Reparations bill is not a symbolic gesture—it's an opportunity for our country to address its shameful history of systemic racism. I convened leaders and advocates in the reparations space to educate staff about the bill and affirm just that. theblackwallsttimes.com/2025/06/13/h...
"Without our courts upholding the rule of law, there could be federal funds frozen across the country that would endanger things like Head Start and Meals on Wheels." - @skyeperryman.bsky.social to @pressley.house.gov, discussing Democracy Forward’s litigation on behalf of communities
Congrats to my constituent, Nathan, whose piece ‘The Cary House in Rising Spring’ won the #MA7 2025 Congressional Art Competition. As a Chelsea High School student, Nathan wanted to showcase the beauty in Chelsea to challenge the negative connotations & stigma that surrounds it.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley poses for a photo with Nathan, winner of the MA-07 2025 Congressional Art Competition.
Because Trump is losing in the courts, Republicans are trying to change the rules to rig the system. Tucked in the Big, Ugly bill is a provision that would restrict judiciary contempt proceedings from enforcing court orders & holding Admin. officials accountable. This is textbook authoritarianism.
A graphic that reads:

Trump tried to end birthright citizenship — BLOCKED.

He tried to shut down asylum — BLOCKED.

He tried to defund cities — BLOCKED.
I shudder to think what would happen to her if Republicans gut Medicaid. But one thing is for sure: families like hers would go bankrupt trying to do everything to keep their babies alive. The Senate must reject Trump’s big ugly bill that will rip medical care from our most vulnerable.
The targeted shootings of Minnesota Sen. John Hoffman & Rep. Melissa Hortman—and the tragic deaths of Rep. Hortman and her husband—are horrifying. Violence is unacceptable, no matter our differences, & must always be condemned.
The "Trump Accounts" in Republicans' Big Ugly Bill are not a serious solution to our growing wealth gap. @darrickhamilton.bsky.social and I wrote about why Congress should reject this regressive proposal and embrace Baby Bonds to advance economic justice.
"Now as much as ever, we need real investment in our children," @darrickhamilton.bsky.social and @pressley.house.gov write. wapo.st/43H3bUo
