It was such a joy to speak with NC State students about my career in Congress and take their questions.
They are our future leaders, business owners, and changemakers. Go Pack!
What an inspiring morning at my office's third annual State of Women!
Women leaders from across the Triangle came together to meet, network, and discuss how we can work together to create a better future for women and girls.
As we grapple with Trump's escalating war in the Middle East and dangerous actions by this administration in the United States, I want to hear from you.
I am hosting an in-person town hall this Thursday, 3/12 at 6:30 PM in Rolesville.

Today I voted for a critical resolution to curb President Trump’s use of military force in Iran + prevent a war of choice. Only Congress has the power to declare war.
This admin has no plan to keep this conflict from escalating and no strategy to protect our service members.
Kristi Noem has been a disaster for North Carolina, and we are better off with her gone.
Yesterday, she doubled down on her cruel and unconstitutional policies. The country saw what NC already knows -- she had to go.
Secretary Noem had the time to approve two luxury private jets, but she can't find the time to approve disaster relief for Western North Carolina in a timely manner.
North Carolinians shouldn't have to front the money indefinitely for her incompetence.
I've seen firsthand how Western North Carolina is struggling after being forced to front the cost of Hurricane Helene recovery.
I shouldn't have to berate Kristi Noem to get her to do her job. Maybe if she stopped focusing on detaining citizens, she could get NC the aid we need.
I'm about to question Kristi Noem when she testifies before @housejuddems. She has a lot of explaining to do, but I don't expect that she's going to be up for the task.
Stay tuned.
Pam Bondi wouldn’t give clear answers when I pressed as to why Maxwell was transferred to a cushy, minimum-security prison.
That's why I'm leading an investigation to get full answers as to who authorized this transfer, and why.
Trump has broken nearly every promise he made to Americans:
Prices remain higher than ever.
Medicaid ripped away from millions.
The Epstein files blocked at every turn.
Now he's backed out on his promise of no new wars to enter a war of choice.
Last week, I hosted an IVF and reproductive rights roundtable with leaders in fertility care and family planning to address the rising costs of IVF.
I remain committed to protecting IVF, defending reproductive rights, and ensuring every parent can afford to expand their family
I am launching a new investigation into Ghislaine Maxwell’s prison transfer to “Club Fed" with @raskin.house.gov and @khanna.house.gov
Zero public records explaining who in this admin approved her special treatment have been released.
We will fight for answers and justice for survivors.
My statement on this morning’s strikes on Iran:
Epstein’s survivors stood in the room and faced Trump at the State of the Union, and he ignored them. He didn’t even mention the files in his speech.
This President won’t take responsibility or hold abusers accountable, but I will keep fighting for full transparency and justice for the survivors.
January 6th rioters broke the law, assaulted law enforcement, destroyed property, and were convicted for their crimes.
Now, this admin wants to reward them for it with our tax dollars.
I introduced a bill with @raskin.house.gov & @morelle.house.gov to prevent money from going to insurrectionists.
This praising of ICE is completely rewriting what Americans have seen with their own eyes; innocent citizens shot in the streets, children separated from their parents, officers violating people’s due process rights.

The facts: 22M Americans now pay $1,000+ more for health insurance after Republicans ended ACA tax credits. 10M more will lose Medicaid under their Big Ugly Law. All while the top 1% get huge tax breaks. #SOTU
While the American people may not agree on many things, they agree prices are still too high.
It’s not surprising that Trump hasn’t noticed. #SOTU2026
The Supreme Court was clear: Trump’s tariffs are unconstitutional. Any attempt to justify them ignores the basic truth that Americans are already struggling to afford basic necessities, and tariffs have only made prices higher.
#SOTU
Trump can keep blaming Democrats for the economy, but Americans know what the President is doing. His priorities are everything BUT making life affordable – golfing, building a ballroom, renovating the Kennedy Center.
