We gave them one hell of a fight. Thank you for following along and learning about all the devastating cuts.
The fight isn’t over. I’m all in.

26 hours and 30 minutes later, the marathon meeting is over. Sadly, the Republican majority passed their bill with no Democratic support because it strips health care from 13.7 million people.
We’ve officially passed the 24-hour mark in this marathon debate over threats to Medicaid.
It’s simple: this bill will raise health care costs for millions of Americans. We’re fighting hard ‘till the very end.

One highlight I want to share with you.
20 hours in… ⏰
In need of a shower.
It’s 4:05 AM, and we’re hearing over and over from Republicans that this bill will not cut benefits. Not true.
When you legislate, you have got to look at the big picture!
It’s late. We’re tired. But we’re still here - standing strong, pushing back, and fighting like hell for your health care.

Family first!
Republicans are claiming that this reconciliation bill will cut waste, fraud, and abuse. @repjeffries and I are calling bullsh*t.
Victoria Lara is just one example of the millions of people who will be harmed by these atrocious Medicaid cuts. If House Republicans cared about their constituents and not their billionaire buddies, they would have already scrapped this dumpster fire of a bill.
Physicians are fighting for health care today! @drsforamerica.bsky.social
Hour 3... Going on 4 ⏰
Our hospitals do not have the funding now, and cutting Medicaid would be catastrophic.

Here’s my update, joined by Doctor Trivedi of National Physicians Alliance.
Republicans claim they’re only cutting waste, fraud, and abuse.
I call bullshit — they’re gutting Medicaid for over 13 million people.
We’ve begun, stay tuned for more updates…
Today’s the day. Republicans just dropped their bill to gut your health care, and they’re trying to pass it tonight while you sleep. I’ll be in committee late, fighting to protect Medicaid.

I’m proud to be a member of the newly formed and bipartisan Public Lands Caucus. Our communities are rooted in natural beauty, and when we protect our #PublicLands, we’re also safeguarding our health, our environment, our culture, and our future.
I celebrated yet another year of the Congressional Art Competition in #CA25. These high school students’ artistic talents continue to inspire and surprise me. Congrats to Cassandra De La Rosa from San Jacinto HS for winning 1st Place.
I can’t wait to see her artwork hung in our nation’s capitol!

Thank you @repraulruizmd.bsky.social for hosting the Steering & Policy Committee town hall in the Coachella Valley - our FIRST (of many) on-the-road events to talk directly with Americans.
I visited #FINDFoodBank to better understand how cuts to USDA funding directly impacts the constituents of #CA25.
SNAP benefits will decrease, resulting in less food for families who need it most. Thank you to FIND Food Bank for serving our region.
