Happy National Travel and Tourism Week! Nevada is a world-class tourist destination with so much to offer visitors – and this week, I want to recognize the incredible hospitality workers who keep our tourism economy running.
I’m proud to celebrate the rich heritage and culture of NV's Mexican American community and their many contributions to our state on the anniversary of the Battle of Puebla. It was great to join Clark County’s 10th Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration with Commissioner Kirkpatrick!

Donald Trump’s ‘Human Flourishing Policy’ will have dangerous consequences for men, women, and children all around the world, which is why I’m joining @shaheen.senate.gov to introduce a bill and block this cruel policy’s implementation.
Instead of making sure foreign aid is effective and in the best interest of the American taxpayer, the Trump Admin is weaponizing it to impose their extreme domestic agenda around the world.
Washington Republicans refused to extend the ACA's enhanced premium tax credits, and now Nevadans are delaying their care or forgoing it altogether. This was a health care crisis that didn’t need to happen. I’ll keep fighting to reinstate these enhanced tax credits and lower health care costs.
Great to speak with UNLV’s Warrior Queen Project, an incredible mentorship program that empowers young women to speak up for their community and be resilient leaders. These women inspire me and have incredible opportunities in store for them. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish!
Happy Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! All month long, we celebrate the diversity, contributions, and achievements of Nevada's thriving AANHPI community.
I’m glad to see the Supreme Court has temporarily restored mail access to mifepristone after a lower court tried to get rid of it – and I urge the Court to move swiftly to permanently protect access to this critical medication for women.
$2,300 – that’s how much MORE the things you buy every day have cost your family since Donald Trump took office. These skyrocketing prices aren’t what he promised you on the campaign trail.    We need real solutions to address this cost of living crisis.
Last week, my team joined UWSN’s Democracy Fellowship Spring Resource Fair at Clark High School to share the resources and opportunities my office offers to students, including our Senate Page and internship programs.
Donald Trump’s tariffs are a tax on YOU that made prices on almost everything skyrocket – and the Supreme Court declared many of them illegal. And yet, he still won’t stop trying to make your life more expensive.
Last week, I forced a vote in the Senate to repeal Trump’s rule that would kick people out of their jobs and raise prices. Most Senate Republicans shamefully refused to stand up to Trump in order to prevent a spike in costs. I’ll keep fighting in every way I can to protect Nevada’s workforce.
I just forced a vote on the Senate floor to overturn a Trump rule that could kick 3.8 million workers out of their jobs. My resolution had bipartisan support, but most Senate Republicans voted it down.
At the same time, some rural hospitals are struggling to keep their doors open because cuts to Medicaid have ripped away critical funding they rely on. I’m working to reverse the health care crisis created by Washington Republicans so you can afford the care you need.
Washington Republicans made devastating cuts to health care, and now Nevadans are cutting back on doctor’s visits and rationing medications because prices are just too high.
