Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing everyone a day filled with gratitude and time spent with loved ones.
Deeply concerned by reports that two National Guardsmen were shot earlier today. My thoughts are with them, their families, & the entire National Guard community. We honor their service & the commitment they demonstrate each day on behalf of our nation. Those responsible must be held accountable.
The shooting of two National Guard members took place on 17th Street NW, between I and H streets, about two blocks from the White House. https://wapo.st/48irgBT

The Trump Administration has overseen two months of job losses.
The last time the economy lost jobs...was under Trump's first presidency.

Republicans have an ongoing campaign to dismantle Social Security and Medicare, oppose universal health care coverage, and support diverting funding from public education. This resolution only furthers that campaign.

ICYMI: Insurance companies try to save millions every year by wrongfully denying patients' health care claims.
@BobbyScott and @RepDeSaulnier are urging the Trump Administration to crack down on insurance companies and prevent them from denying care to millions of Americans.
This is part of Trump's agenda to reduce civil rights enforcement and support for low-income communities.
While I am certain this will be challenged in court, I am upset about the harm this will cause students who will be caught up in this Administration’s war on education.
Congress must now get back to our fight to lower costs for Americans starting with addressing the health care crisis that is making health insurance unaffordable for too many families.
The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators have continuously asked for justice, accountability and transparency. And that is what today’s vote was about.
We must release these files to assure the American people that nobody in the federal government is covering up these heinous crimes.

Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” will take away food from 4 million people.
While Republicans celebrate their new law, millions of families will struggle to put food on the table.
This isn’t beautiful — it’s cruel.

Americans are struggling to pay their bills.
Donald Trump promised to lower prices on “Day One.”
Instead, he’s building himself a ballroom at the White House.
