Oil spills have devastated the California coast, killing marine life and the local economy. We must not let it happen again. Thanks to all who stood together in Santa Barbara to speak out against the Trump administration's attempt to restart dangerous offshore oil pipelines.⁩⁩
Thank you to the California farmers and farmworkers who work tirelessly to keep food on our table. As a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, I'm committed to doing everything possible to fight for a farm bill that meets the needs of Californians.
Wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms in our lives. I’m especially grateful for my mother, Sherry, of blessed memory, and for my wonderful wife, Eve.
Catalina is full of breathtaking nature, scenic views, and a population that cares deeply about its island. Appreciated the opportunity to discuss the environment, and the health care, water, and power needs of residents.
With summer vacations looming and monthly budgets straining, Republicans in Congress just unveiled their latest budget. Their grand plan? $70 billion for ICE and Border Patrol $1 billion for Trump's gold-plated ballroom And $0 for your bottom line. I wish I was kidding.
I’m working hard to bring back resources and funding for Joshua Basin Water District to support their ongoing efforts to remove hexavalent chromium from the water and improve water quality.
Visited the largest Marine Corps base in California and got to meet some of the incredible Marines who sacrifice so much, and serve our country with such honor and bravery.
Got to visit one of Joshua Basin Water District's well sites, which provides millions of gallons of drinking water to the region. I will continue fighting for the funding we need to ensure good clean drinking water for generations to come.
Great visiting the future site of Legacy Village at San Bernardino Valley College. I look forward to working with local and college leaders to get this student and workforce housing development project up and running.
California is proving that state tax credits are an effective tool to bring jobs and production back to the Golden State. Another reason why I'm fighting to create a federal film incentive to help promote American film production across the U.S.
The lessons we’ve taken from Star Wars matter today more than ever. But one stands out to me: Hope is like the sun — if you only believe in it when you can see it, you’ll never make it through the night. May the Fourth be with you, always!
Teachers are putting in the hard work to ensure the next generation has the skills to keep changing the world. I spoke with @aft.org and their National President Randi Weingarten about the need for greater investments in education to guarantee students have every opportunity to succeed.
AI is reshaping industries and our economy, and it’s crucial that young people and our workforce are equipped to succeed in this landscape. Proud to introduce a bipartisan bill with Sen. Rounds to ensure students and educators have the resources they need to harness the power of AI.
