FINALLY get to hear from Pam Bondi tomorrow on the Epstein Case—except the public won’t see or hear a single thing. Republicans who control the Committee unilaterally decided: NO cameras. NO video recordings. NO sworn oath. NO deposition. No matter what roadblocks they throw at us—we will not stop.
Huge win for Peralta & Valencia County! Proud to have secured $1 million to support the development of a new fire station in Peralta. These funds, secured with our Senators, will help improve safety for emergency personnel entering & exiting Fire Station NM47 & will support over 3,000 New Mexicans!
Yesterday, I stopped at Zorro Ranch while driving across NM—to honor survivors and visit the memorials left along the road. When I got there, I found the memorials destroyed. If that’s not a metaphor for what is happening, I don’t know what is. We won’t stop fighting until there is justice!
Another win for NM! Vaughn Municipal Airport will receive a $1.7 million grant to kick off design work to update the airport mapping and rehabilitation of their runway for emergency services, ag support, and more! This is how we invest in rural communities and create long-term infrastructure!
What a day — traveling the district! Thank you to everyone who showed up and spent time with us!! And pro-tip if you’re traveling across NM—it’s always good to stop at Clines Corners, and you might even run into friends like we did from down south! 💛❤️
Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you all had a safe and restful Memorial Day weekend! I’m back in New Mexico for the next few days and excited to spend time with all of you! Here’s what we’re up to this week, ABQ, Santa Rosa, East Mountains, back to DC for Pam Bondi’s deposition and so much more: ⬇️
Proud to announce that we have secured over half a million dollars in federal funding for a groundwater storage project for ABQ through our office! This investment will help ABQ, esp. during this drought—to store water to meet our drinking water needs. THIS is how we take care of our communities!
Today, on Memorial Day, we honor every American who has put on the uniform, served this country, and made the ultimate sacrifice. To every Gold Star Family, friend, and loved one mourning the loss of a soldier who didn’t come home—we send our prayers and love. ❤️ 🇺🇸
Communities around ABQ and the Sandia Mountains are dealing with the consequences of neglect on sacred and public lands. Understaffing and failed management cannot be an excuse for putting our forests, watersheds, and sacred places at risk. The Forest Service must hold up its end of the bargain!
Making the government more efficient doesn’t have to be partisan - it should be something every Member of Congress can support! And that’s why I teamed up with Rep. Tim Burchett on a bipartisan bill to make sure your taxpayer dollars are actually being used effectively and responsibly!
Mental health is health care—period. Proud to co-sponsor the Medicaid Bump Act w/ @reppaultonko.bsky.social, Rep. Brian Fitz, & @smith.senate.gov to strengthen mental and behavioral health and help states expand care through increased Medicaid support. Everyone deserves access to support!
The last few weeks—we’ve been pounding the pavement on Capitol Hill & across the country to defend voting rights, support tribes, land grants, & our communities, pass legislation out of committee, support survivors, & defend our democracy. Every day we’re grateful to be in this fight with you! ✊
As Shavuot comes to a close, I am wishing peace and renewal to everyone observing across New Mexico and the world. This holiday reminds us of the power of community and a shared responsibility to care for one another. Chag Sameach to all celebrating. 💙✨
This week, we caught up with Sam Barncastle, the new director of the Family Farm Alliance and a 7th-generation farmer from Mesilla, NM—chile capital of the world! 🌶️—to talk water and ag. She was here to rep our farmers, ranchers, and talk about how we get through this drought! Keep making us proud!
