President Trump’s inhumane immigration policies are making women like Marta less safe.
It is UNACCEPTABLE that Marta was detained and separated from her children. As a mother, these stories make me furious.
GOOD NEWS: $750,000 in federal funding is coming to the City of #Newberg!
This funding will ensure that the Newberg community gets reliable, clean drinking water for years to come 🚰

Under Trump and Republicans’ mass deportation plans and militarization of ICE and CBP, women are in danger.
We hosted a hearing to expose the abuse of women in detention facilities, wrongful deaths, and medical emergencies women experienced while in ICE and CBP custody.
Hardworking families are barely making ends meet each month. Yet President Trump is more worried about his billionaire-first agenda rather than fixing the cost-of-living crisis he created.
This has to stop.
Trump sent ICE and CBP to terrorize our communities, putting women's safety at risk.
This attack must end.
Today I joined @demwomencaucus.bsky.social to shine a light on how Trump’s immigration enforcement is threatening women. We will fight to ensure that justice is served.

Today at 3:00 PM ET, DWC is hosting a hearing to expose how Trump’s ICE and CBP have placed women across the country in danger.
Trump’s ICE and CBP continue to mistreat pregnant women, deny reproductive healthcare, and put
immigrant survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse at risk.
I’m fighting to expand programs like Head Start and strengthen the early educator workforce so more families can get a fair shot. (2/2)
This week, we celebrate 61 years of Head Start — and the more than 40 million children and families it has served.
Head Start proves that when we invest in children early, entire communities rise with them. (1/2)

Islamophobia has no place in America, and we must stand together against intolerance in all its forms. (2/2)
Everybody deserves the chance to practice their faith without fear.
I'm devastated by the horrific violence in San Diego today. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and all our Muslim neighbors. (1/2)
During National Emergency Medical Services Week, we recognize the lifesaving work of the first responders who bravely serve our communities every day of the year.
We thank you for your unwavering commitment, courage, and dedication to keeping us safe.

I just brought $850,000 home to the City of Keizer so they can build a new sidewalk, keeping children walking to school and pedestrians off a busy road.
This is a huge WIN❗️

Canned foods are crucial for ensuring Americans across the country can get access to affordable, long-lasting fruits and vegetables.
But because of Trump's tariffs on steel, prices on these historically affordable items are rising.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, an important reminder that taking care of your mental wellbeing is just as important as your physical health.
New Dem Leadership Member @salinas.house.gov explains some of challenges we must tackle to ensure everyone can get the help they need.
President Trump is only making life harder and more costly for hardworking families.
It’s Older Americans Month! That means honoring our seniors and reaffirming our commitment to protecting their benefits.
I am working in Congress to ensure they have the support they need to enjoy their golden years free from financial stress.
Mental health is health. During #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness 💚
🫂 You are never alone, and support is always available.
