Celebrated the holidays with my incredible District team. Whether you’ve seen them in the community or relied on their help with a federal agency, you know how committed they are to serving our district. Grateful for all they do.
Excited to help open Napa’s new Early Learning Center, made possible in part by nearly $1.8 million in federal Head Start funding. Early learning is one of the smartest investments we can make, and I’ll always fight to ensure every child has the chance to succeed.
In the aftermath of the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, I was named Chair of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. Thirteen years later, we still mourn the 20 children and 6 educators who were taken from us.
The administration's cuts to the VA have already made care less accessible and more time consuming for our veterans. Cutting 35,000 more jobs, including doctor and nurse positions, is unacceptable. I'll fight to ensure our veterans receive the support and care they need.
Honored to recognize Phil Murphy for more than four decades of service to the Native Sons of the Golden West and the St. Helena community. His stewardship and dedication have helped preserve local history and strengthen our community for generations.
Proud to vote to protect federal workers’ collective bargaining rights that an executive order stripped away earlier this year. We need to work to protect our federal workers from unfair treatment and political interference. www.politico.com/live-updates...
The Respect for Marriage Act was signed into law 3 years ago, and I was proud to vote yes on the bill. Every LGBTQ+ American deserves the freedom to marry the person they love. I’m glad the Supreme Court reaffirmed that right by rejecting efforts to overturn marriage equality last month.
Chatted with Ronny Joe Grooms on KSVY about the work I’m doing to combat this administration’s illegal actions with the Democrats’ Litigation Task Force. Listen to hear more about how we’re fighting back.
Racism has no place in Petaluma or anywhere in our community. What happened to Coach Bullard is hateful, disgusting, and unacceptable. I’m grateful he continues to lead with strength and compassion, and I stand with him. The perpetrator should be found and held accountable.
Joined my fellow Democrats in signing a petition to force a vote to extend the ACA premium tax credits. Speaker Johnson won't let the House vote on extending these tax credits, and Democrats are here fighting for your health care.
Congressional Republicans have shown Americans where their priorities are. It’s not on affordability for middle-class Americans. It’s tax cuts for their billionaire donors that add $4 T to the national debt while cutting health care by $1 T and kicking 15 million people off of their insurance.
97 percent of bikes purchased in the United States are made elsewhere. It’s time we change that. The U.S. Bicycle Production and Assembly Act would give bike manufacturers the foothold they need to grow a thriving industry right here in the United States.
I asked the Attorney General for information on ongoing criminal investigations or evidence of the waste, fraud, and abuse that this administration claims is rampant in our government, and surprise, surprise, I have not heard back. So I'm calling her out. Attorney General Bondi, show us the evidence
