This order is wannabe strongman behavior more aligned with the gold leafing in his Oval Office than the constitutional oath greater leaders than he have worked to uphold over the course of our history.
Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress claim to care about “family values.” Then they turned around and passed the One Big, Ugly Bill that will leave 6.7 MILLION women, infants and children with less help to put food on the table.
Three years ago, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline launched, connecting people to trained counselors for free and confidential crisis support 24/7. Since then, they have answered 13 million calls, texts and chats. Help is always available, just dial 988.
Trump’s One Big, Ugly Bill will hike health insurance premiums by $2,080 for folks in MA-03 who rely on the Affordable Care Act. It guts Medicaid, attacks affordable care and makes it harder for hardworking families to access the care they need.
Here in Massachusetts, we’ve benefited significantly from gun violence prevention programs. It’s why we have the lowest rate of gun violence in the nation. Trump’s decision to gut federal funding for these programs will do absolutely nothing to make our communities safer.
Trump’s careless cuts to Medicaid in his Big Ugly Bill will impact all of us. Hospitals have to treat patients in emergencies, no matter their ability to pay. What does this mean? We will see even higher health care costs across the board.
As antisemitic and religious-based hate crimes rise here in Massachusetts and across the country, we are reminded that each of us has an obligation to protect one another – and especially our children – from hate, ignorance, and violence.
I applaud the Massachusetts Special Commission on Combating Antisemitism for their critical work to develop tangible, actionable recommendations to increase awareness of and confront antisemitism in schools across the Commonwealth.
The Purple Heart is a solemn symbol of sacrifice, resilience and unwavering courage. It represents the cost of defending the freedoms we hold dear, and the extraordinary individuals who stepped forward to protect us.
I toured Quest Diagnostics’ Regional Laboratory in Marlborough, where medical innovation is on full display.  In Congress, I’ve been working to make sure every patient has access to clinical testing — no matter their income. We must pass the bipartisan Saving Access to Laboratory Services Act!
60 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law to protect Americans’ right to cast their vote in our Democracy. Since then, Republicans have challenged the law by gerrymandering districts and silencing the voices of voters who disagree with them.
Republicans campaigned on lower costs, but families are paying more than ever. Folks who started back-to-school shopping already are seeing Trump’s tariffs drive up the prices of school supplies. Working families shouldn’t have to go into debt to get their kids ready for class.
Incredible news for the Lowell Folk Fest and the Mill City!   After months of unnecessary delays, we’ve finally unlocked the federal funding this beloved tradition deserves. This year’s festival was a huge success and now, we’re going to build an even brighter future for the arts in Lowell.
Five years ago, I proudly voted to pass the Great American Outdoors Act. This bipartisan law has delivered millions in federal investments to close maintenance backlogs at our national parks, including important projects at Lowell National Historical Park and Minute Man National Historical Park!
Wishing a very happy birthday to my friend, Leader @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social! Grateful for your steadfast leadership, unshakable optimism and tireless work to deliver for the American people.
