Today, I had a productive meeting with MEMA Director Dawn Brantley to discuss how I can continue to support their essential work and ensure they have the resources needed to provide disaster relief to #MA3 families, businesses and communities.

When the unthinkable happens and disaster strikes — like the Merrimack Valley gas explosions or flooding in Fitchburg and Leominster — the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency is there on the front lines working around the clock to save lives, protect homes and keep our communities safe.

We haven’t updated the bill that mandates how the government handles our most private, personal data since the dawn of the computer age — I’m working to change that. Last week, I sat down with John Keller to discuss my efforts to reform the Privacy Act of 1974 so that our data is used responsibly.
As Co-Chair of the Fusion Energy Caucus, I’ve worked on a bipartisan basis to partner with innovative fusion companies, update rules from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and pass legislation like the Fusion Energy Act, positioning the U.S. to take the lead on this transformative energy source.
Right now, we are losing ground to China in the global race to unlock fusion energy, a virtually unlimited source of clean energy that has the power to drive down costs for families struggling with unpredictable gas and oil prices.
Medicaid saves lives and gives kids with disabilities the chance at a brighter future. Grateful to Mary, Fred, Barbara and Dennis for sharing their families' stories and what it will mean if Republicans move forward with their plan to slash Medicaid.
Wish our “America First” vice president was as worried about protecting American troops as he was Saudi oil profits.
American war planning usually takes place in highly secure facilities. But the Trump administration planned its strikes on the Houthis using a group chat—and accidentally included The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg. theatln.tc/IuULQFiY
Lowell Women’s Week is always a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience and impact of women lifting each other up. Grateful to celebrate with inspiring friends – old and new – as we continue working to create a better community for every family to call home!

He shouldn’t – but outdated privacy laws are allowing him, DOGE and the Trump Administration access to our Social Security numbers, bank accounts and confidential health records. I’m working to put a stop to this violation of our privacy.
Yesterday, I met with educators from across #MA3 in Fitchburg to discuss Donald Trump’s move to dismantle the Department of Education. Make no mistake – this won’t hurt kids from wealthy families who have access to tutors and other resources.
Did you know that the law regulating how the federal government collects and uses our personal data is 51 years old?   On today's Digital Download, I talked about how @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting back against Elon Musk accessing Americans' most sensitive personal data.
Women’s college basketball is growing at an incredible pace, inspiring the next generation of athletes to pick up a ball and chase their dreams – just like stars such as JuJu Watkins, Paige Bueckers, and so many others. I see it firsthand with my daughters, who helped me fill out my bracket.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, I covered Trump’s Executive Order to dismantle the Department of Education—paving the way for Republicans to slash support for students, teachers, and schools. @housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight this every step of the way.
Our democracy thrives when people show up, speak out and engage in the process — and last night’s town hall was a testament to that. I’m grateful to everyone who took the time to join me yesterday in Methuen to share your questions, concerns and feedback.
