Their unchecked, unaccountable, and unfettered access should worry us all. Information is power. Authoritarian governments can use this power to coerce or silence their citizens. Cybercriminals can use it to impersonate or extort their victims.
In the last six weeks, Americans have watched in horror as Elon Musk and DOGE teenagers breach government computer systems that store troves of our most sensitive data. Social Security numbers, bank accounts and home addresses all exposed with no vetting and no accountability.
Earlier today, I announced an effort to reform the Privacy Act, the 51-year-old law that protects Americans’ privacy from government abuse. But I’ll need your help. We’re going to protect our privacy, together. Let me explain why this effort is so important.
Folks are scared. They’re scared as they watch their 401ks go down the drain and scared that they won’t receive their Social Security checks. And instead of facing the people they represent, Republicans are letting Elon Musk do their job for them (badly).
Families in Massachusetts are already struggling with high housing costs, rising grocery prices, and Trump's trade war that’s forcing prices even higher. Cutting Medicaid would push too many past their breaking point — just so Republicans can pay for a tax cut for their billionaire donors.
Imagine being the parent of a child with a rare disease like pediatric cancer, and being told that you would have to wait years to receive care because of paperwork delays and preventable bureaucratic hurdles.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!🍀 Irish heritage is woven into the very fabric of Massachusetts, from our traditions to our values. Today, we celebrate the rich culture, history, and legacy of Irish-Americans who have shaped our Commonwealth. 🇮🇪

House Democrats stand united with our leadership in defending the authority of Congress to work on behalf of the people—not billionaires. We say NO to this Trump/Musk spending bill that jeopardizes essential programs working families have earned just to hand massive tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy.
Taking a sledgehammer to the IRS right as tax season ramps up might be one of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard. It’s not just stupid – it’s downright dangerous, leaving taxpayers in the dark and for many, without their refunds. www.nytimes.com/2025/03/10/u...
Wishing a joyful and colorful #Holi to all who celebrate in #MA3, across the nation and around the world! 🌟 May the day bring you happiness and harmony as we celebrate the arrival of spring.

The world has lost a great man, and I’ve lost a friend and colleague I deeply admired. I served with Chairman Grijalva on the Natural Resources Committee where he was a fierce advocate for environmental justice. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this sad time.
Congressman Raúl Grijalva
For far too long, blanket terms-of-service agreements have forced people to either ‘agree’ to all of a company’s conditions or lose access to a website or app entirely. I introduced the TLDR Act with Senators Luján & Cassidy to give power BACK to consumers. 🫵📲
Instead of hiding from constituents like my Republican colleagues have been instructed to do, I'm hosting another town hall to hear directly from Massachusetts families about your concerns and priorities. I hope you'll join me in Methuen next Thursday, March 20th at 6:30pm!

Consumers shouldn’t have to wade through pages of dense legal jargon just to use a website or app. Right now, companies force users into an all-or-nothing choice: agree to everything or lose access entirely. No negotiation, no alternatives, no real choice.
