I was saddened to learn that Zandra’s Taqueria, a Culpeper staple, caught fire over the weekend.    My thoughts are with the owners, employees, pets, and everyone affected by this loss.    I’m grateful for the Culpeper Fire and Police Departments for their swift response.
I am thinking of those affected by the fatal crash in Caroline County on Saturday. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all, especially those grieving the two Fredericksburg women who passed.    Thank you to the law enforcement officers and first responders who arrived at the scene.
I’m proud that my team has returned more than $6 MILLION in backlogged tax refunds, Social Security checks, VA benefits, and more to residents in the Seventh District.   If you are facing an issue with a federal agency, please reach out to my office. We are here to help!
As a founding member of the Congressional Lowering Utility Bills Caucus, I’ve seen firsthand how rising utility costs are squeezing working families across the Commonwealth.    That’s why I'm leading on common sense legislation that would lower utility costs for hard working families.
Cameron from my team had the honor of presenting a Congressional Record to Carol Callahan in tribute to Lt. Colonel Joseph Callahan Jr. and his remarkable service.    Carol’s home received a new roof through Operation Raise the Roof, which provides secure roofing for veterans and their families.
May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor the contributions, sacrifices, and service of the members of the armed forces, past and present.    I’m proud to have served 25 years in the Army. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I carry that experience with me every day.
My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives, the injured, and everyone impacted by this morning’s terrible crash on I-95. Thank you to the law enforcement and first responders who rushed to the scene. My team and I will continue to monitor the situation.
It was an honor to host a sendoff for a few of my 2026 Service Academy appointees.  As these young men and women head off to begin their journey of service to our nation, I know they will lead with courage, integrity, and dedication. Congratulations to each of them on this incredible achievement.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.     As a member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee, I'm working to increase support for our men and women in uniform’s mental health care and suicide prevention.     Dial 9-8-8 to get support. Vets can press 1 to be connected to the Veterans Crisis Line.
Four months into Trump’s war of choice, Americans are worse off than they were before it began.    Farm country is hurting, grocery bills are skyrocketing, and gas prices remain high.    Safe to say this was a failure, President Trump.
It was great to be at an event alongside the National Partnership for Women & Families and Paid Leave for All.    I’m proud to stand with advocates continuing the fight to make paid family and medical leave a reality for every worker in every state.
I stopped by the Dumfries-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department to meet with President DavidLee Glinski and congratulate him on his installation as president.  I’m grateful to the department’s firefighters and first responders for the work they do every day to keep our community safe.
Prediction market traders have made millions betting on U.S. military operations and put the lives of American service members at risk.  I sent a letter to Secretary Hegseth urging him to prohibit U.S. service members from using prediction markets to wager on matters involving national security.
Are you interested in applying to a U.S. Service Academy?  Join my virtual information session on June 9 to hear directly from my team, academy representatives, learn more about the application process, and get your questions answered.  I hope you’ll join us!
I stopped by the Flower Box in Woodbridge during National Small Business Week to celebrate one of the many local businesses that keep our communities strong.  Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they deserve leaders who are focused on lowering costs and supporting growth at home.
