ICE has become an unchecked, paramilitary force. It's past time for some accountability. Sending masked federal agents into our neighborhoods like this does not make us safer. It only risks more tragic events like we saw in Minnesota yesterday. We cannot go on like this.
Reckless & dangerous. Sec. Kennedy is now requiring parents who want to vaccinate their kids against the flu to go to the doctor before they can get a shot. Children are dying from the flu. Making vaccines harder to get will cost lives.
Happy New Year! As we reflect on 2025, let us remember the many ways we showed up for one another. It was a difficult year, but I’ve been heartened by the compassion and resilience we’ve shared as Americans and as Georgians. May this New Year bring you peace and blessings.
One year since we lost President Jimmy Carter. He was one of my heroes, a living example of faith come alive through the noble work of public service. His life’s project was human dignity, and his legacy will long outlive us all.
