Many families, like Victor’s, are being ripped apart by an out-of-control federal agency that is using cruel, violent, and often illegal enforcement tactics perpetrated by masked agents in unmarked vehicles. 🧵
I've heard from constituents who are afraid to take their children to school and children who are afraid to go to school. And as a reminder, according to the United States Supreme Court, every child has the right to attend public schools regardless of their immigration status.
It's outrageous that ICE is now arresting and detaining parents while they are dropping their kids off at school, which is traumatizing to the students and the entire school community.
