Extremist Republicans continue their onslaught of attacks on Medicaid and are pushing dangerous provisions to “defund” Planned Parenthood in their disastrous budget reconciliation bill — putting the reproductive health and rights of millions of Americans at risk.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @ramirez.house.gov lays out how Trump’s One Big, Ugly Bill will take health care and food assistance away from working families while rewarding billionaires with tax breaks that explode the deficit.
Senate Republicans didn’t have the courage to do the right thing and stop this tax scam. I voted no the last time, and I’ll vote no again. The American people deserve better.
If Republicans get their way, millions will lose health care, families will see food ripped from their tables, and our kids will be saddled with trillions in debt — all to bankroll more tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
Senate Republicans just rammed through their version of Donald Trump’s Big Ugly Bill — making one bad bill even worse (if that was even possible).
Now, they’re sending this un-American, egregious bill back to the House for a final vote.

Republicans in Congress are pushing through a bill that would strip PP affiliates of funding.
Thank you to @juliabrownley.house.gov for being an advocate for reproductive freedom + fighting for essential care like birth control, STI testing, abortion, gender-affirming care, and cancer screenings.
No matter who you are or who you love, everyone deserves to be treated equally and with dignity and respect. As a proud member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, I will continue fighting hate and discrimination and work for a more just and equal world for all. #PrideMonth
At this moment, when the LGBTQIA+ community is facing harmful attacks and discrimination from the highest levels of government, our commitment to equality must be unwavering.
Pride is more than a celebration of love and identity. It is a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight for equality, the importance of protecting hard-won rights, and the need to ensure that every person can live openly, freely, and without fear.

At recent town hall meetings, @repbonamici.bsky.social heard from Oregonians loud and clear: they're outraged by GOP's Medicaid cuts.
On today's Democratic Daily Download, she shares how Democrats are doing everything we can to fight these irresponsible and immoral Medicaid cuts.
Every American deserves access to timely, affordable, high-quality care. That is why I will continue fighting to protect Medicaid for everyone who depends on it.
Medicaid isn’t just health insurance — it’s a lifeline for children, working families, seniors, and people with disabilities. It is the foundation of our commitment to ensuring healthcare is accessible to those who are most at risk of being left behind.
More than 204,000 #VenturaCounty residents and 14 million Californians depend on Medicaid to access essential healthcare.
Now, with the largest proposed cuts to Medicaid in our nation’s history on the table, local health providers could be forced to reduce services or even turn away patients — putting healthcare access at risk for those who need it most.
VCMC plays a critical role in delivering quality care to our most vulnerable communities, with more than 75% of their patients coming from underserved populations that face significant barriers to accessing healthcare.
I recently visited Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) to discuss the urgent need to protect funding for the essential care they provide.
As Senate Republicans jam through President Trump’s Big Ugly Bill, which would kick millions of Americans off their health insurance, I’m thinking about the thousands of people in Ventura County who would suffer the consequences.
My @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues and I were elected to serve the people, and we won’t be intimidated by threats or retaliation.
This is a blatant abuse of power by the Trump administration. It is a calculated attempt to distract, intimidate, and interfere with Congress’ oversight.
@replamonica.bsky.social was doing her job. She was carrying out her constitutional duty to hold the Executive Branch accountable. In return, she was met with force, retaliation, and politically motivated charges – not respect for the rule of law.
