Instead, this budget is a blatant scheme designed by House Republicans to line the pockets of wealthy donors, support big corporations, and appease the authoritarian whims of President Trump and Elon Musk – an unelected, unvetted, and unaccountable billionaire.
I am deeply disappointed in my Republican colleagues who continue to fail the American people and voted to advance such a shameful and self-serving budget resolution. This resolution does not seek to set responsible parameters for government spending.
This vigil was not only a moment to reflect, but also to remember and renew our resolve to protect the democratic values we hold dear.
Together, we stand with Ukraine.
As #AgouraHills stood in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, we also reaffirmed our commitment to supporting them in their struggle for peace, sovereignty, and democracy.
The light from each candle served as a poignant reminder of the light that shines even in the darkest times, symbolizing hope, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of those fighting for democracy and freedom.
Last night, our community came together to honor those whose lives have been impacted by the unjust war in Ukraine.
As we mark this somber anniversary, I stand in unwavering solidarity with the people of Ukraine. Together, we will ensure that democracy triumphs over oppression.
This is not just a war for Ukraine – it is a fight for freedom, human rights, democracy, and the principles that unite us all.
Now, more than ever, it is critical that the United States continue to support Ukraine in their fight to protect these values. We must provide them with the resources, support, and diplomacy they need to prevail against tyranny.
They are not only defending their homeland but also standing as a beacon of hope for democracy and freedom around the world.
Three years ago, Vladimir Putin launched a brutal attack that threatens the sovereignty and democracy of Ukraine. Since that fateful day, the resilience, courage, and unwavering spirit of the Ukrainian people have inspired the world.

I’ll be joined by Congressman Jamie Raskin, a strong advocate for defending our democracy and holding the Trump administration accountable.
Join me TONIGHT at 6:00 PM PT for a live telephone town hall as we discuss President Trump’s recent executive orders, their impact on our community, and the actions House Democrats are taking to protect our rights and values.

Trump’s reproductive health care playbook:
1. Create a crisis
2. Do nothing to solve it—leaving millions of women without care
3. Claim victory
This executive order does nothing meaningful to increase access to IVF.
We see your hypocrisy and we won’t stand for it.

I am so appreciative of our youth's enthusiastic commitment to uplifting all those who have served. A big thank you to these young students for spreading love and appreciation to our nation’s heroes! 💌
Students throughout California's 26th Congressional District also participated in this year's #ValentinesforVets project, and they created over 2,500 cards for our local veterans.
I recently joined the talented second graders at Bard Elementary in #PortHueneme, and together we crafted heartfelt valentines for veterans across #VenturaCounty and the Conejo Valley.
