The American people deserve leadership that truly understands the economy and is equipped to make decisions that benefit working families, not those who are wholly unprepared to navigate its complexities.

Despite the warnings from leading economists and industry leaders, Trump continues to demonstrate a fundamental lack of understanding of both the economy and how tariffs harm American workers, businesses, and families.
Economists, business leaders, and a crashing stock market have made it clear: these tariffs are an economic disaster waiting to happen, and the American people will pay the price.
President Trump’s decision to pause tariffs on Mexico and Canada is nothing more than a desperate attempt to save face for his failing economic policies.
I will continue to fight for the health care that all women need, including comprehensive reproductive health care and abortion access.
DOD’s recent decision to rescind travel reimbursements for reproductive health care is a direct and dangerous attack on the rights of America’s servicewomen. It’s unacceptable to deny any servicemember access to essential care while they put their lives on the line to defend our country.
This decision not only harms veterans who rely on VA services, but also undermines the VA's ability to provide comprehensive, inclusive, and equitable care for all those who have served our nation.
The unjustified firings of Lourdes Tiglao and James Albino send a clear, yet very detrimental message: this administration is not prioritizing the needs of all veterans, especially those who often face additional barriers to care, benefits, and resources.
VA has a solemn mission to provide the highest quality care for our nation’s veterans, which includes delivering gender- and culturally specific services critical to the well-being of women and minority veterans.
I am committed to protecting the rights and safety of our residents, and I will continue to advocate for the policies that uphold the rule of law while ensuring the well-being of all #VenturaCounty families.
It is critical that the agency prioritizes its resources on individuals who truly pose a threat to public safety, rather than disrupting the lives of hardworking people contributing positively to the community.
While I understand the important role ICE plays in our national security, its recent operations in Oxnard and Santa Paula raise significant concerns about their focus and execution.
That’s why I joined @housedemocrats.bsky.social in demanding the Trump administration immediately release these delayed Head Start funds. We must ensure these centers receive the support they need to stay open and continue giving children the foundation they need to thrive.
These programs rely on timely funding to cover essential expenses like employee pay, rent, and utilities. Without federal funding, many centers could be forced to close, leaving thousands of children and families without access to vital childcare and education.
Head Start is a lifeline for over 800,000 children, providing high-quality early education, health, and nutrition services.
I am closely monitoring reports of the tragic crash at DCA. All the passengers, crew members, and their families are in my prayers during this difficult time.
I am grateful to the first responders and emergency personnel on the scene and responding to this tragedy.
Americans need an HHS Secretary who actually understands our nation’s health system. Kennedy’s inexperience and ignorance of basic concepts make him wholly unqualified for the position. His dangerous and archaic demagoguery on vaccines and public health puts lives at risk.
I would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Yunnan Restaurant, a local gem in #OakPark, for helping us celebrate the meaningful traditions of the Lunar New Year. Here’s to a year of growth, joy, and new opportunities for all.
Gung Hay Fat Choy! Wishing prosperity, good health, and happiness to everyone celebrating the Year of the Snake across #VenturaCounty and the Conejo Valley.
President Trump’s agenda continues to threaten the livelihoods of everyday people, and @housedemocrats.bsky.social remain committed to standing up and fighting for the families who rely on this critical support.
