I pressed the administration to stop these reckless, potentially illegal firings and emphasized their devastating impact on the essential services Americans rely on, including Richard’s treatment. 2/

Last year, Richard Schlueter received a diagnosis that changed his life: he had metastatic cancer. He had reached out to an NIH team developing a treatment that could save him.
But due to mass firings under the Trump Administration, Richard’s clinical trial was at risk. 1/

Proud to fight GOP attacks on health care alongside @bobbyscott.house.gov, @beyer.house.gov, @mcclellan.house.gov & @repsuhas.bsky.social.
At a press call with @protectourcare.org, we urged Republicans to put politics aside & work with us to protect Medicaid & stop ACA premiums from skyrocketing.
Thank you to the courageous federal workers who’ve joined us for today’s constituent services event with Mayor Letty Hardi and wellfed. I am honored to stand with and support our civil servants as we work towards brighter days ahead.
Our Billionaire Income Tax Act would prevent the ultra-wealthy from paying a lower tax rate than working families – a crucial and necessary step toward rectifying the shortcomings of the failed trickle-down economics approach.

The Trump Administration is silencing speech they disagree with.
It’s not just wrong, it’s unconstitutional.
Brendan Carr should resign as FCC Chair, and Republicans must start standing up for the free speech they've so vocally defended before.

Earlier this week, Republicans surrendered their own power to defend their constituents from Trump's destructive tariffs. These tariffs are driving inflation higher, raising prices for American families, and drastically slowing job growth.

I led @markwarner.bsky.social, @kaine.senate.gov, @bobbyscott.house.gov, @beyer.house.gov, @repsuhas.bsky.social, @repvindman.bsky.social and @repwalkinshaw.bsky.social in urging the Administration to retract its proposal to eliminate the 2009 Endangerment Finding and protect our communities.
This is a direct attack on freedom of expression and a clear example of Trump Administration officials using government powers to silence protected speech.
Brendan Carr should resign, and all who love the First Amendment must defend it.

When CEOs make 600x what workers earn and billionaires find ways to game the system and go untaxed, something has to change. It’s time for fairness.

The Trump administration’s order to remove mentions of slavery from our parks is an attempt to erase our country’s history. We still live with the legacy of slavery and racism, and no matter how hard Trump tries, he cannot rewrite the truth of our past.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, it is especially important to celebrate the power that comes from diversity. U.S. Latinos are the embodiment of ‘e pluribus unum’ – out of many, one.
Hispanic Heritage Month honors the culture, leadership, and contributions of Hispanics and Latinos who shape our communities. Especially this year, let’s use our voices to uplift and celebrate our neighbors amid a climate of fear that’s disrupting daily life.
Today, nearly every House Republican voted to surrender their own power to block Trump’s tariffs.
Trump’s illegal tariffs are taxes on the American people that are driving up costs, raising inflation, killing jobs, and weakening our economy.
Republicans voted to continue that.
A crushing healthcare price hike is on the horizon thanks to the Republican tax law, but Congress can fix this issue before millions of Americans are hit with eye-popping health care bills.

The American blank check for Netanyahu's Gaza City operation does not serve our interests.
We are mired in a moral and strategic morass, and the only way out is a fundamental alteration of the broken U.S.-Israeli relationship. 2/2
Palestinian civilians continue to be killed with American weapons, Israeli hostages are no closer to freedom, and people in this country and around the globe are rightfully horrified that their leaders refuse to see what is obvious to everyone else. 1/2
