Trump's Big Ugly Bill rips health care from millions, explodes our debt, and makes the largest ever cuts to nutrition assistance.
A recent CBO report made it clear: the Big Ugly Bill massively benefits the wealthiest at the expense of working Americans.

Happy Father’s Day to my dad and all of the fathers across Northeast Ohio! 🫶🏽
Love and respect to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who do so much for their families.
Dad, I could never repay you for all the things you’ve done for me. Today, I thank God for blessing me with you. 🙏🏽
Deeply horrified by the targeted attacks on lawmakers in Minnesota.
Political violence is never acceptable.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the brave law enforcement officers responding on the ground.
Happy Black Music Month! I’m excited to announce that today Sen Booker and I introduced resolutions in the House and Senate recognizing June as Black Music Month, with Rep Meeks and Rep. Carson as co-leads. Stay tuned as I spotlight Black artists who’ve made a lasting impact, throughout the month.
The treatment of Sen. Padilla is unacceptable.
A sitting U.S. Senator thrown to the ground, handcuffed, and detained for speaking out? This isn’t normal. The administration’s pattern of targeting members of Congress and anyone who questions them is authoritarian.
We cannot let this stand.
Across Northeast Ohio, I hear the same thing: housing costs are too high and getting higher.
That’s why I introduced a resolution today with @repbeatty.bsky.social to call for urgent federal action.
We must preserve and expand access to affordable housing now.
Thank you to everyone who attended our OH-11 Housing Expo & Conference on Saturday and all the presenters and agencies who made it an impactful event. If you have questions about federal housing programs or local government services, please contact my office.
Hair products. Lotions. Makeup. Many contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals linked to fibroids, infertility and more.
That’s why I introduced the HER Act — to fund federal research, raise awareness, and push for safer standards.
All women deserve to use safe products.
Wonder how my GOP colleagues feel about their favorite tech billionaire today. Buyer’s remorse? 🤔
House Republicans passed the Big Ugly Bill in the dead of night, then spent two weeks trying to spin and swindle the American people about what was in it.
The reality: millions will lose health care and millions will lose nutrition benefits - for tax cuts for the rich.

As the GOP recklessly slashes and burns in DC they’re also erasing history nationwide — now it’s civil rights icon Harvey Milk. Doing this during Pride Month sends a clear message: the GOP wants LGBTQ+ history erased. Working American families need relief from rising costs — not shameful politics.
The Trump Administration failed to notify the public of an E. Coli outbreak and is reportedly attempting to pass off federal food safety inspections to the states.
The White House shouldn’t play MAHA games with food safety - period.

Last week I met with the Spanish American Committee to learn more about the work they’re doing to support the Spanish-speaking community in Cleveland and discuss how we can help more Latino families in NE Ohio thrive.
I’m horrified and upset by the terrorist attack on people marching for the release of Israeli hostages today in Boulder.
My prayers are with the victims and their families.
Jewish people across the United States deserve to be able to speak, march, and demonstrate without fear.
1-in-5 households in my district rely on SNAP. Trump’s Big Ugly Bill is an attempt to steal from them, to give tax cuts to the rich.
I don’t know what the urgency is- is there a flash sale on beach houses right now? It’s wrong.
📺 At 2:10 PM I'll join Alex Witt on MSNBC to talk about what Trump's cruel cuts to SNAP nutrition benefits will mean for families, Elon, and DOGE. Tune in! 📺
Happy #PrideMonth Northeast Ohio!
This June, I’m join my colleagues in the Equality Caucus in celebrating the strength, diversity, and resilience of the LGBTQI+ community. This June, and throughout the year, let’s keep working to create a more equal and just future for everyone.

If the Senate passes Republicans' budget, it would be devastating for millions of family caregivers and their sick or disabled loved ones.
Medicaid coverage for transportation, meal support, and in-home care is a lifeline. We can’t let Republicans rip this away.

Hate speech directed at any race, at any religion, at any ethnic group, or any identity is an attack on all of us.
