My office attended the 22nd Annual Destination HBCU College Fairs at Warrensville Heights High School and the Arnold Pinkney East Professional Center in Cleveland.
We were excited to share information on our youth programs and answer questions about federal financial aid.
Her courage, dignity, and grace continue to be an inspiration. It was powerful to hear Ruby tell local kids her story, talk about what she faced, and the lessons she has learned. May she be a source of strength for all of us moving forward.
An icon was in Cleveland today: Ruby Bridges, the first Black child to attend a previously all-white school in the South. I was honored to moderate an event for CMSD students with Ruby, organized by the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and the Cleveland Public Library.
It’s been two years of nonstop Republican antics on Oversight.
However, I’m grateful to have @summerlee.bsky.social and @repjasmine.bsky.social to keep it 100 with me, defend diversity, and speak the truth.
