Dems, we cannot let texting war plans in a group chat go. It is outrageous. We need to demand that Republicans in the House hold hearings on this. They're threatening our national security and not even getting a slap on the wrist. We have to get to the bottom of this for the American public.

"We can't keep acting like it's 1980. The rules of engagement have changed."
@balint.house.gov tells @deanobeidallah.bsky.social that Democrats need to be holding shadow hearings and press conference to counter Republicans.

They are deeply underestimating the fury and rage this is igniting across the country. Do not mess with people's Social Security. This is an EARNED benefit. It’s YOUR money.
Social Security in turmoil:
— SSA website crashed four times in 10 days this month
— Phone service a mess following Musk-led cuts
— Agency no longer has a system to monitor customers’ experience due to DOGE
— Major staff exodus

Trump's not interested in the rule of law, the Constitution, or doing right by the American people. His focus is going after perceived enemies because he is simply failing at his job. People are angry. His actions are deeply unpopular and he knows it.
To everyone in Vermont out in the streets protesting, I see you! Keep it going! I'm proud of our brave little state standing up for democracy.

...Did anyone honestly expect anything less after deciding Pete Hegseth was the right person to lead the United States military? This level of incompetence is not only utterly astounding but it’s an obvious threat to our security.
Talk about a government parasite.
To Howard Lutnick, Trump's billionaire commerce secretary who thinks people won't notice if their Social Security checks don't arrive:
What planet are you on?
There are so many Americans like Terry who became victims of a scam that stole thousands and thousands of dollars. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was literally created to protect people and get them their money back. Trump and Elon shut it down. Infuriating.
This is the richest country in the world. Everyone should have quality health care, education, and housing.
For over 100 years this library straddling Vermont's border with Canada has been a real representation of our harmonious and mutually beneficial relationship with our neighbor. This decision is simply wrong.

This is what the US Department of Education means for Vermont:
$490 million for education.
Funding for 40% of staff in the state education agency.
$28 million in loans for UVM undergrads.
$17 million in loans for Vermont State University students.
With every illegal move and outrageous action by Trump and Elon, our coalition is getting stronger and more powerful. Don’t lose sight of this.
Trump just signed an executive order to dismantle the Department of Education which will defund schools.
Our kids are going to suffer the consequences.
Call the White House. Call your Republican representatives. They're allowing this depraved agenda to move forward.
Whistleblowers have always played a vital role in helping Congress do its job conducting oversight. Now more than ever they’re critical to identifying potential wrongdoing, abuses of power, and threats to federal workers.

Cuts to Medicaid will affect all of us in rural communities — even if you’re not on Medicaid. It helps keep hospitals open. Let me explain.
Nothing that has happened since Trump took office has been focused on making the lives of regular people more affordable. The party in power will not be able to ignore the housing crisis forever.
