The Trump administration must restore $10 billion in child care funding for California & other Democratic states that they illegally froze w/o justification. Trump's reckless decision puts families, child care providers, and, most importantly, children at risk in order to advance a political agenda.
Trump and Republicans let ACA tax credits expire, raising premiums for 22 million Americans, some are seeing their costs double or triple after giving massive tax breaks to billionaires.
House Democrats forced a vote to reverse these cuts and extend affordable coverage. I’m voting YES.
Gun violence is deeply personal to me. Three years ago, my hometown lost 11 neighbors to a mass shooting. I will never stop fighting to end gun violence in America, and I’m honored to stand alongside her in this work.
Today marks 15 years since Gabby Giffords was shot at a constituent meeting, in an attack that killed 6 and wounded 13.
I am proud to cosponsor a bipartisan, bicameral resolution to honor the victims and their families today, and recommit to ending gun and political violence.
It's been an honor to serve alongside @hoyer.house.gov and see firsthand his commitment to bipartisanship & delivering real results for the American people. His leadership leaves a legacy that will be felt for generations. Wishing him the best on a well-earned retirement.
On the anniversary of the Eaton Fire, I led members of the California delegation in a press conference at the U.S. Capitol to honor the lives we lost and demand immediate federal disaster aid to support our long-term recovery. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXYV...
This horrific tragedy is a direct result of Trump's reckless, political deployment of federal agents into our communities and his complete disregard for the rule of law.
I am outraged by the horrific killing of a legal observer perpetrated by Donald Trump's ICE agents in South Minneapolis. Video footage shows clearly that this killing was unjustified. I demand a full investigation and this agent must be held accountable. www.npr.org/2026/01/07/n...
Through unimaginable loss, I have witnessed extraordinary resilience in our communities every day since. I will keep fighting, and stand with you every step of the way.

One year ago, the Eaton Fire forever changed our community—taking 19 lives, displacing nearly 20,000 neighbors, and destroying nearly 9,500 structures, including 6,000 homes.
Today, we commemorate the first anniversary of the devastating Eaton Fire, the second most destructive wildfire in California history that tore through Altadena and Pasadena, and claimed the lives of 19 of our beloved neighbors, and forever changed our community. youtu.be/ShmVbfuSVZk?...
Today marks 1 year since the Eaton Fire took the lives of 19 of our neighbors. Those we lost helped shape the fabric of their communities, and their absence has left a void that can never be filled.
A middle-class family is facing $43,000 a year for health insurance because Trump and the GOP let ACA tax credits expire.
This is Republicans' health care plan: higher prices, fewer options, and people with cancer forced to drop coverage.
www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...
Donald Trump & Republicans let the ACA tax credits expire despite having bipartisan support to extend them.
Now, premiums are skyrocketing for working families while billionaires cash in on new tax breaks.
This is what happens when the President calls affordability a hoax.
It’s New Year’s Day, which means it’s time for the 137th Rose Parade! 🌹
Despite the rain, I am wishing everyone a joyful celebration of this time-honored tradition. Stay safe and enjoy the best parade in the country!
Happy New Year! 🎉
Wishing you and your loved ones a year filled with health, hope, and new opportunities. Cheers to 2026!
As we look towards 2026, I want to thank you for being such an important part of our community.
This video highlights just a few moments from a year that showed the strength of our community.
