50 years ago, the Safe Drinking Water Act was enacted to protect our country’s drinking water supply.
The investments we’ve made from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continue to safeguard the right to safe drinking water.
Today, we honor the second anniversary of the Respect for Marriage Act being signed into law.
This law enshrined justice, dignity and respect for all Americans regardless of who you love.
Far too often, we hear stories of victims of abuse who feel trapped in their situation due to limited or no insight into their household finances. Rep. Beatty and I worked together to introduce the Financial Empowerment and Protection Act to help victims regain their financial independence.
Earlier this year, I partnered with Rep. Chavez-DeRemer to introduce the bipartisan Mental Health in Aviation Act. This legislation would ensure pilots and air traffic controllers have access to help should they need it.
As far back as 1987, the Ethics Committee has released reports on Members of Congress who resigned to avoid accountability.
Last week, House Republicans voted to upend this precedent, with Speaker Johnson declaring the matter "moot".

Don’t let them fool you. A resolution moved to be “brought up later” or “sent to committee for further work” won’t actually be brought back up by Republican Leadership.
This is purely a procedural tool to try and bury the issue. 5/
Once I raise my resolution, Republican Leadership is expected to take some sort of procedural action – likely either a motion to table or a motion to refer – which is a tool used to essentially kill the resolution. 4/
If they do not, I’ll raise my resolution to force the release of the Gaetz Report on the House Floor during the 4:45 PM ET vote series. 3/
First and foremost, the House Ethics Committee is expected to meet shortly and could release the report themselves.
