Last week, I checked out the Evergreen Park Urban Barn with Mayor Kelly Burke. I enjoyed learning about their environmental initiatives and educational programming for students and families in our community.
As a member of Congress, I am privileged to nominate qualified students to attend the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
This year I nominated 23 well-deserving students.
Social Security is a sacred commitment to millions of workers, retirees, and seniors.
We have to do everything in our power to protect this hard-earned benefit.

During the recent District Work Period, I enjoyed visiting, listening, and engaging directly with our community.
I’m back in DC now, ready to ensure that all of the concerns I heard from you all are voiced in Congress.
We need to provide consumers with access to the lowest-cost, most efficient, and most reliable forms of energy.
It’s a happy coincidence that this is synonymous with the cleanest forms of energy.
This week, I hosted a roundtable discussion with various senior citizen advocacy groups to discuss senior scams and fraud prevention, social security and retirement, as well as other challenges that seniors face.
Meet Linda, my latest Constituent Spotlight honoree.
Linda volunteers with the West Suburban Humane Society, where she cares for homeless animals, educates the public, and helps prepare dogs for their new adoptive homes. Through her dedication, she provides an incredible service to our community.
From fighting back against harmful actions by the Trump Administration and introducing meaningful legislation to recognizing a historic site right here in IL-06, here’s what I’ve been up to recently.
My STEM Scholars Program application deadline is just one week away! Don’t miss your opportunity to take part in a meaningful summer experience that helps shape your future career in STEM.
This week, I visited St. Cletus Parish Food Pantry to meet with the dedicated staff and volunteers preparing for distribution. Seeing their work firsthand is a powerful reminder of how vital these services are.
Despite signing the largest cut to health care in history just last year, the president wants to enact even further cuts to pay for his war.
The president does not care about what is best for the American people.
The deadline for my Congressional Art Competition is quickly approaching! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your artwork displayed in our nation's Capitol.
Head over to my website for details on the application.
I was proud to secure $250,000 in federal funding for the Village of Crestwood to support a critical water main replacement for IL-06 because investments like this are essential to keeping our communities safe and running smoothly.
It’s long overdue that we have an energy policy in this country that puts consumers first, EBRA does just that. By strengthening consumer protections and ensuring large energy users pay their fair share, millions of Americans will be protected from price gouging.
I recently had the opportunity to join Pathlights in Palos Heights, a community organization supporting older adults, people with disabilities, and their families with resources to live independently.
Pathlights provides essential services, including meals, to residents across six townships.
The president’s threat to wipe out an entire civilization is dangerous, reckless, and would constitute a war crime under both domestic and international law. Anyone in the Trump Administration who acts on this threat and violates the law must be held accountable, including criminal liability.
Join me this Wednesday at 7pm CT for a virtual town hall to talk about the issues that matter most to you. I’ll be sharing updates, answering your questions, and hearing directly from our community.

The SAVE Act isn’t about election security; it’s about voter suppression. Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans want to create unnecessary barriers that could strip eligible Americans of their right to vote and make our democracy less accessible, not more.
The more we do to improve the energy efficiency of our economy, the less we have to worry about volatile global oil markets or the economic harm of a president starting a war without a strategy or exit plan.
