House Republicans are lying to the American people. They want to slash your health care so they can give tax cuts to billionaires.
As the top Democrat on the Health Subcommittee, I’m fighting like hell to stop them.
Instead of letting Elon Musk slash and burn the federal government, Trump should be working to lower costs and make life better for my constituents.
Unfortunately, last night’s address showed Trump would rather wreak havoc and bully people opposed to him than solve problems.
🚨 The Supreme Court just REJECTED Trump's emergency bid to cancel $2 billion in USAID funding.
The courts are stopping this administration's shameful efforts to usurp Congressional authority, and more legal action is coming.
NEW: The Supreme Court 's ruling, upholding an order requiring USAID to pay out ~$2 billion in unpaid foreign aid bills, is an incremental win for contractors.
Now it's up to Judge Ali to recalibrate deadlines for the payment.

Also, he’s right – it’s past time for Congress to address our country’s broken immigration system with comprehensive bipartisan legislation. (2/2)
Oversight Republicans are using today’s hearing to score cheap political points, but Mayor Johnston is standing tall.
I’m proud of Mayor Johnston’s composure and demeanor as he sets the record straight on immigration, and he has my complete support against these partisan attacks. (1/2)
Tonight, Trump lied, insulted the American people, and bullied those opposed to him.
It’s because of him that costs are skyrocketing, the stock market is crashing, & our adversaries are laughing. His actions are dangerous & shameful, and I will fight his disgraceful agenda every step of the way.

Rep. Diana Degette (D-CO) about decision to skip Trump address to Congress
"His barrage of illegal attacks against public servants & vulnerable groups, have disgraced & embarrassed our country. His actions are beneath the office of the President and do not merit my attendance at this Joint Address"
The House GOP is hellbent on gutting safety net programs like Social Security, Medicare, & Medicaid to give tax cuts to billionaires. That’s why I joined +200 House Dems on a letter to Speaker Johnson making one thing clear: We will never support these cuts & do everything in our power to stop them.
Trump’s shameful and embarrassing attacks against our allies, our institutions, and vulnerable groups since returning to the White House have disgraced our country.
He has acted beneath the Office of the President, and his actions do not merit my attendance at the Joint Address.
Trump is planning massive SSA cuts, gutting an already understaffed agency & forcing office closures nationwide.
In Colorado alone, 1 in 6 residents rely on these benefits to stay afloat.
For them and the millions of Americans who rely on Social Security, we cannot let him dismantle it.
Texas's abortion ban hurts more than Texans. Care for Coloradoans has been delayed due to out-of-state patients, causing second-trimester abortions to spike.
As @reprocaucus.bsky.social co-chair, I'm fighting for reproductive care nationwide because just one ban affects us all.
Denver imports $5.6 billion worth of goods from Canada annually, so steep tariffs on Canada will hit Denver hard. That means higher prices for agricultural products, energy, & construction materials as families already struggle with costs.
Denverites shouldn’t pay the price for Trump’s trade wars.
Just launched my new resource page. 🚨
As we continue to watch the unjust targeting of federal employees by Trump & Musk, I want to hear from federal workers and Denverites who have been impacted.

During Women’s History Month, we honor the women who have shaped our lives, shattered glass ceilings, and made an invaluable impact in Colorado and across our country.
As a member of the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social I honor this history by continuing to fight for women’s rights today and always.
Ramadan marks a sacred time of faith and community.
To those celebrating in Denver and across the world, Ramadan Mubarak.
As you come together this month, whether it’s for prayer or spending time with loved ones, I hope it's filled with meaningful reflection.
The behavior of Trump & Vance towards President Zelensky is shocking, disrespectful, and unAmerican.
Ukraine is defending its sovereignty against an aggressive adversary, and the US must stand with 🇺🇦 against Putin’s invasion.
Unfortunately, the only person happy about how this played out is Putin.

NEWS: E&C Health leaders Frank Pallone & @degette.house.gov demand answers from HHS Secretary Kennedy on the serious risk posed to Americans by mass firings on his watch.
From Aurora to Boulder to Columbine, Coloradoans know the toll of high-capacity magazines. They enable shooters to inflict more damage and kill more innocent people.
Americans deserve a Congress that acts decisively to protect their safety, and we must deliver on that promise.
High-capacity gun magazines enable dangerous individuals to unleash a rapid hail of bullets, turning any public space into a potential warzone.
That's why I'm reintroducing the Keep Americans Safe Act to reinstate a national ban on high-capacity magazines.
Just received a 100% on @lcv.org 2024 National Environmental Scorecard!
Proud to stand with pro-environment, pro-democracy champions in Congress to fight climate change, protect our air & water, safeguard public lands, and defend vulnerable groups from the extremism & chaos of the GOP Majority.
