70 years ago, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a city bus in Montgomery, Alabama. This act of defiance would spark one of the most influential social justice movements in American history.
Today, we honor Rosa Parks and her courageous legacy.

Minnesotans are already struggling with high prices on everything from gas to groceries. The middle class can’t afford to foot the bill for the President’s reckless trade policies.

I'm introducing a bill with @delauro.house.gov and @aoc.bsky.social that protects consumers and prevents companies from using tariffs as an excuse to price gouge Americans.
President Trump’s cuts to HIV funding puts over 44 million people globally, including 1.2M+ Americans, at risk & takes health care away from millions more. We have the tools to end HIV– we can't roll back our progress.
This World AIDS Day, let's fight to #SaveHIVFunding
I joined Teamsters Local 191 on the picket line over the weekend to show my support for their fight to recognize the union they voted for in July for fair wages, benefits, safety & the respect they deserve.
Connecticut Distributors must bargain in good faith with these workers.
I visited Elm City Games, a local small business, to announce my new anti-price gouging legislation, the No GOUGE Act. This bill prevents big companies from using Trump's trade wars to overcharge consumers & other businesses.
Greedy corporations must be held accountable.

Trump’s trade war is a gift to big corporations, who use tariffs as an excuse to jack up prices.
That’s why your holiday shopping list could be up to $132 more this year, and that’s why I am introducing the No GOUGE Act, to define and investigate tariff-driven price gouging.
I’m closely monitoring the shooting in Washington, D.C. that wounded two National Guardsmen and injured several others. My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Guard community.
Gun violence has no place in our streets. Those responsible must be brought to justice swiftly.
I was proud to lead over 200 of my colleagues in a letter to HUD Secretary Turner to fight for the 170,000 people across the country who are in danger of losing their homes this winter.
I’ll continue to fight against any attempt to gut the resources Americans rely on.

By making drastic changes to HUD’s anti-homelessness program, the Trump Admin will push people back onto the streets overnight.
Thanks to AG William Tong for standing up & suing to stop these illegal cuts.

Peace in Ukraine must come on Ukraine’s terms, not Russia’s. Trump’s arbitrary Thanksgiving deadline and draft peace plan full of Russian priorities has this backwards.
A peace deal that sacrifices Ukraine’s freedom is no peace at all—just an invitation for Putin to try again.
Today, the EPA has approved pesticides containing “forever chemicals” for use in our food, despite health and environmental concerns.
Relaxing food safety rules will only benefit corporations and put the health of Americans and the environment at risk. Is American Healthy yet???
All workers deserve the freedom to join a union. I stand in solidarity with Teamsters at Connecticut Distributors who are striking after stalled negotiations & anti-union actions.
Keep up the fight for fair wages, benefits, & dignity!
The Coast Guard changed its policy, calling swastikas “potentially divisive”. Then DHS lied about it and got caught.
This is Kristi Noem’s leadership in a nutshell: divisive, hostile, and dishonest. Our Coast Guard deserves better.
Today on #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance, we remember & honor the lives of those in the transgender community that have been lost due to hate.
With my colleges in the Equality Caucus, I am committed to combatting hate and ending the scourge of anti-trans violence.
Farmers & working families are struggling to make ends meet right now. Trump’s trade wars are only making matters worse.
I'm urging the Trump Administration to include small, family, and specialty crop farms in any federal effort to provide economic relief for farm losses.
My Democratic colleagues whose lives Donald Trump threatened today have served their country with honor and distinction.
Calling for the death of your political opponents is unacceptable and dangerous. The White House must retract its threats immediately.
Today, the Italian American Congressional Delegation leaders released a letter requesting the Commerce Department pause proposed tariffs on pasta from Italy.
Tariffs of this scale could harm a valued ally & raise prices for millions of American consumers.
Great seeing you again, @gwenmillsuh.bsky.social. From New Haven to DC, always appreciate our fight to strengthen the labor movement and ensuring workers have a real voice.
I voted yes to release the Epstein files. Sunlight is the best disinfectant - it’s time we all know the truth.
