Trump's decision to revoke the endangerment finding at the EPA — the basis for regulating greenhouse gas pollution — is a blow to decades of climate progress. This opens the door to more pollution, and more people getting sick.
So much for the "cleanest air and water in the world
The SAVE Act would disenfranchise millions of Americans, and would inject federal law enforcement into our elections. I voted NO.
Trump's out-of-control tariffs have raised costs for consumers and hurt American manufacturers. Tonight, Republicans joined Democrats in the House to stand up to this administration and rebuke the tariffs on Canada.
I'm glad Congress is reclaiming our authority on trade policy.
Illinois already sends more money to the federal government than we get back. This is blatant political retribution, and it's deeply unfair to the over 430,000 people impacted by intense storms last summer.

Trump has denied FEMA disaster relief funds for communities in my district across Boone, Cook, Kane, McHenry, and Will counties. Trump explicitly tied this disaster relief to politics—saying that relief funds he granted Alaska and North Dakota were because they voted for him "BIG" in past elections.
It was great to be in Bolingbrook this past weekend for the Black History Month Awareness Club's annual celebration!
Black history is American history. This month and every month, we honor the contributions and resilience of Black Americans.

There is no excuse. We have seen these vile, hateful depictions before. We know its intent.
This blatant racism toward former President and First Lady Obama has no place in America.
Trump is a national embarrassment to our country.

Good luck to Wauconda's own Olympic ski jumper, Kevin Bickner!

In response, I'm leading over 25 colleagues on H.Res.100 to call on the administration to pursue arms control talks with Russia and China. This cannot wait.

Last month, I spoke on the House floor to sound the alarm on the expiration of the New START Treaty.
Today, the last remaining limits on the world’s two largest nuclear arsenals have disappeared, and we are now more vulnerable to nuclear escalation than at any point in the last fifteen years.
As Congress’ Ph.D. physicist, I’ve been sounding the alarm on this issue for years and remain deeply engaged in working across the aisle to decrease nuclear risk.
I am calling on both nations to abide by the numerical limits set under New START until a new agreement is signed. Read my statement.
Every Republican administration since Reagan has weakened the dollar and killed manufacturing jobs. Trump is no exception.
No matter how Secretary Bessent tries to spin it, the numbers don't lie.
Leaving the World Health Organization is yet another anti-science decision by the Trump Administration that puts us all at risk.
I'm proud that Illinois has stepped up where Trump has failed and joined the WHO’s public health data network.

If you missed my latest newsletter on what I'm doing in response to the unchecked violence by ICE and DHS, you can read it here: foster.house.gov/newsletters
Kristi Noem must go.
A first step, but not enough. This won’t bring back the lives lost. Bovino is only part of the problem. Kristi Noem has destroyed all trust in DHS by repeatedly lying to the public, and her leadership there has been a complete failure. If Trump won’t hold her accountable, Congress must impeach her.
We have the right to peacefully protest, and we must continue to show up and demand that Trump, Kristi Noem, and the entire administration end this abuse of power. This is not the America we know. This is not the America future generations deserve.
I was heartened to see nearly 2,000 people out today, despite the 16-degree weather, standing together to honor Alex Pretti and Renee Good and to speak out against ICE.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
