Small businesses are the backbone of our local economies – and Trump’s tariffs are wreaking havoc on entrepreneurs and business owners all over the country. We need to keep fighting back against Trump’s endless chaos and finally put an end to his reckless policy schemes.
In their budget, Republicans are not only stripping away Americans’ health care and food assistance – but they’re also trying to close reproductive health care facilities. 1 in 3 women already can't access this care, so we won't stop working to restore Roe as the law of the land.
I am incredibly saddened to hear of Rep. Gerry Connolly’s passing and give my sincere condolences to his family, friends, and constituents. He was a tireless advocate for making our planet a cleaner, greener place, and his kindness and wit will be missed in the halls of Congress.
In addition to cutting Medicaid and taking health care away from millions of Americans, the Republican tax scam could take school meals away from 18 million kids — all to give tax breaks to Trump’s billionaire donors. I’ll be at the House Rules Committee fighting back tonight.
Over 230,000 people in #CA02 depend on Medicaid for their health care — and all 230,000 of those Californians are now at risk of losing this essential care. We're talking about kids, seniors, people with disabilities, and so many others. When will Republicans finally stop?
Eliminating California's clean cars and clean trucks standards will force Americans to pay more for gas, harm air quality and public health, and cede auto manufacturing leadership to other countries. This is another Republican power grab that's useless and harmful.
Members of Congress have the right to conduct oversight — yet Trump is coming after Representative McIver for doing just that. This is another power grab from wannabe dictator Trump, and we won't back down without a fight. Representative McIver has my full support.
Republicans' scorched-earth budget sacrifices our public lands for billionaire tax cuts. Their efforts put at risk: 🏣 60,000+ good-paying clean energy jobs 🌳 13.5 million acres of public lands 🐆 Countless protections for endangered species We MUST put a stop to this madness.
Republicans voted to protect Trump’s reckless tariffs and ban Congress from putting a stop to this madness. On #TheFlipSide, we’re fighting back to stop these tariffs and help lower the cost of living.
House Republicans have cut $300 BILLION in food assistance from the budget — all to pay for ridiculous tax breaks for billionaires. They're throwing the American people under the bus to appease Trump and his wealthy friends, and families won't have food on the table as a result.
Republicans are cutting over billions in funding for climate and clean energy programs that benefit American households, in addition to proposing devastating cuts to critical health programs. They're essentially opening the door for fossil fuel infrastructure. It's despicable.
The GOP’s Ways and Means reconciliation package aims to provide $10 BILLION in tax credits for private and religious schools – another giveaway to the wealthy and another Trump attack on the separation of church and state. And we're using every possible tool to fight back.
Republicans are pushing a budget that cuts Medicaid and food assistance by $1 trillion, ripping away basic needs programs that help millions of Americans. Most people can't afford for this budget to pass – and Democrats are using every tool at our disposal to stop it.
A nonpartisan analysis now confirms that the Republican budget scheme will strip coverage and benefits from millions of Americans. For months, Republicans have lied about their plans, but now we have answers. And Democrats are using every tool at our disposal to stop it.
In 2024, I helped secure funding for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for DNA technology to clear a backlog of cold cases. This week, Josephine Medin's loved ones got the answers they've needed for 32 years since her disappearance. I hope this discovery helps them find peace and closure.
House Republicans’ budget cuts national park funding, slashes clean air and water protections, and pushes the most extreme anti-environment bill in American history as the cherry on top. Today, while Democrats called out this billionaire giveaway, House Republicans hid in their offices.
