My statement on the charges against @replamonica.bsky.social.
Rep. McIver was doing her constitutional duty. I stand with her and believe every American should be alarmed.

Republicans want us to believe that them throwing 13.7 MILLION people off of Medicaid is somehow about the dignity of work.
That's rich coming from the party that's gutting the NLRB, NIOSH, & consistently votes against pro-worker policies that would actually restore & ensure the dignity of work.
You can't treat your workers like crap & expect them to stay.
Today, our skies are less safe because hostile work environments have pushed many air traffic controllers to leave.
I asked the FAA how they planned to retain these talented civil servants & make sure they felt valued in their work.
Republicans want to add more red-tape to Medicaid.
In 2024, Georgia did the same with their state Medicaid program. They spent $86 MILLION just administering these requirements. And worse, only 7,000 out of 345,000 eligible people were able to enroll in the program.
What happened to efficiency?
Anyone who devotes their career to serving the American people deserves our gratitude.
This Public Service Recognition Week, I stand with AFGE against these attempts to attack our dedicated public servants.
My GOP colleagues claim to stand with first responders and on 9/11 are all over social media with #NeverForget. What firefighters will never forget is the deafening silence and pathetic inaction when it comes to preserving the programs at NIOSH that save their lives. That is what we’ll #NeverForget.
Seniors built this country and many of them built their retirements expecting Social Security to be there when it was their turn. Pulling the rug out from under them isn’t just wrong, it’s cruel. For our seniors and for future generations, we must #SaveSocialSecurity

We need to hear from you. Share your story with the House Veterans Affairs Committee via our new survey.
Your responses will help the committee better understand the full scope of recent administrative actions impacting veterans, VA employees, and their families.

I was happy to speak at the Portland Metro Chamber's annual D.C. meetings today.
This admin's chaotic tariff policies make it even more important that we work closely with our private sector to help provide the stability workers and businesses need to continue growing right here in Oregon.
As a Member of Congress, I believe accountability shouldn't be partisan.
It's time for my Republican colleagues to show the same courage and principle. No one is above the law. Democracy demands it. #CountryFirst
I was a Pell Grant & TRIO student. I have dyslexia & special ed helped me graduate. As Republicans continue to find ways to pay for their tax cuts for the rich, they're cutting the programs that help everyday Americans.
We need to expand access & find ways to make higher ed an option for all.
Thanks for having me @iamunion.bsky.social!
This year's conference comes at a time when unions are under attack. But as union members we've seen this old, tired playbook before. And we know how to fight back and WIN. #unionstrong
On #InternationalWorkersDay, we honor the dignity of work & remember the sacrifices that made by those who came before us.
Workplace rights & protections were won through the labor movement which is why they want to tear it down. But when you come for one of us, you take on all of us. #UnionProud
Today I joined my @usprogressives.bsky.social colleagues to speak out against President Trump's illegal deportations.
In the United States, justice happens in a court room, in front of a judge, with facts and evidence. That’s the standard – and it should apply to everyone.

America’s unions are hitting the streets tomorrow for #MayDay, the day the world celebrates the bravery of workers throughout history who have sacrificed for safety, dignity and justice on the job.
Join the fight for a better future for workers:
50% of jobs need more than a high school diploma but less than a college degree.
Apprenticeships let people earn while they learn, avoid mountains of debt & fill our workforce needs. I’ll keep fighting to expand access to these opportunities.

The first 100 days of the Trump Administration have been a debacle.
ICYMI: Despite slashing govt programs we rely on, crashing markets, and threatening Social Security and Medicare, Elon Musk & this admin have spent $220 BILLION MORE this year than Democrats did at this same point last year.
BTW, that's also before they gave the Pentagon ANOTHER $150 BILLION.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
