Republicans are about to shut down the government and send healthcare costs soaring for millions of Americans, and the President is busy showing off his gold like he’s a QVC salesman. Ridiculous behavior at a serious time.
Trump: “Some of the highest quality 24 Karat Gold used in the Oval Office and Cabinet Room of the White House. Foreign Leaders, and everyone else, “freak out” when they see the quality and beauty. Best Oval Office ever, in terms of success and look!!! President DJT”
💰GOOD NEWS: Over $39 million for life-saving levee & floodwall construction along the Pajaro River was just awarded!   Thanks to funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I supported, residents & businesses in Watsonville and #CA18 will finally be protected from floods.
We’re just 1 day away from a Republican government shutdown. They’re not going to be able to jam through their partisan budget, so why won’t they work with Democrats to extend healthcare tax credits?
China is outpacing America in fusion energy investment. Now is not the time to be cutting back on research – we should be doubling down on developing this clean, abundant energy source.
My heart breaks for Grand Blanc, Michigan following today’s horrific attack on a Mormon church. Nobody should fear for their safety at church, at school, or anywhere else in America. We need to take action to prevent this kind of violence.
It was a pleasure meeting with Belgian Ambassador Frédéric Bernard recently to discuss the incredible research and innovation happening in California and how we can strengthen the US-Belgium economic relationship.
Last week, we re-introduced the Redistricting Reform Act to establish independent redistricting nationwide, and it already has 54 co-sponsors, including every California Democrat! Still waiting on any Republicans interested in ending gerrymandering…
Today, I joined @padilla.senate.gov, @schiff.senate.gov, and my House colleagues to re-introduce my Redistricting Reform Act. It’s time to put an end to Trump’s gerrymandering war and establish independent redistricting nationwide.
Those who put their life on the line for our country should not be facing the possibility of deportation. Today, with @repmarktakano.bsky.social, we introduced the Veteran Service Recognition Act to provide lawful permanent resident status to our veterans at risk of being deported.
I recently joined @ufw.bsky.social to celebrate the farm workers across America who toil every day to put food on our tables. I’m fighting against this administration’s attacks on them, and I’m working hard in Congress to support them through my Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
House Republicans had a whole hearing last week about “Californication” to criticize the world’s 4th largest economy and the backbone of America’s tech sector. You can be sure that I pulled up with the facts on California:
Dogs aren’t just man’s best friend; they can change lives. I was happy to sit down with Purina and Operation Freedom Paws to discuss the SAVES Act and other legislation to ensure eligible veterans can get access to life-saving service dogs.
I joined KIQI last week to discuss the Supreme Court’s recent ruling to allow racial profiling in immigration raids. It particularly endangers Latino communities, but when the 4th Amendment doesn’t exist for one group, it doesn’t exist for anyone.
🎉 Congratulations @caltrain.com on one year of electrified service! 🎉 Electrification helps reduce greenhouse gases and highway congestion, leaving a better world for our children and grandchildren, and I’m proud that California is leading in green transportation.
