I'm all for going after waste, fraud, and abuse. The Department of Defense spends $800+ billion a year. It's never passed a single audit. Ever. USAID was audited three months ago. Is Elon scared to lose all the defense contract money he pockets from the Pentagon?
ELON, the world's richest man, is getting at least $20+ BILLION worth of American taxpayer dollars. He claims he's trying to find waste, fraud, and abuse? Maybe he should start with himself.
So far, Trump's "America First" Agenda has been: -Invade Greenland -Annex Canada -Seize Panama -Now he wants to take over & occupy Gaza w/ U.S. troops Looks like MAGA got fooled by a warmonger who doesn't give a shit about egg prices. Just tax breaks for billionaires.
Trump on sending US troops to Gaza: "If it's necessary, we'll do that. We're gonna take over that piece. And we're gonna develop it."
Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass.: "Foreign assistance is about 1% of our entire federal budget. And maybe before coming after USAID, Republicans should look at all the billions and billions of dollars in tax breaks and subsidies that they give to oligarchs like Elon Musk."
Hey Bluesky 👋 I'm Jim McGovern, Congressman for the Second District of Massachusetts and someone who believes in this country and wants us to stand up for human rights at home and around the world. I'm excited to be here. Let's get going.
