I'm excited to see what else Coach Pitino has up his sleeve tonight! Wishing the best of luck to the St. John's men’s basketball team and hoping for another historic win. #NY05
New Yorkers are feeling the impact of the DHS Shutdown at JFK. Lines are hours long. Passengers are missing flights. TSA agents are working without pay. Instead of funding TSA, Republicans have sent untrained ICE agents into our airports to create more chaos.
The gender pay gap is growing, not shrinking. Women earn only 81¢ for every dollar paid to men. Equal pay for equal work should be the standard, not the exception.
I had the solemn honor of recognizing the life and legacy of Major Sorffly Davius. A Queens native and American patriot, he served our nation with courage and dedication. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. Our country is forever grateful for his service.  youtu.be/OZBo_ZO_gwY
Republicans are sending ICE agents into airports instead of negotiating to pay TSA workers who keep travelers safe. These agents are tied to chaos on America’s streets including the killing of U.S. citizens. This isn’t solving the problem. It’s escalating it. www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/i...
16 years ago today, the ACA made healthcare more affordable for millions of Americans. Now, with Republicans refusing to extend ACA tax credits nearly 29,000 people in #NY05 have seen their healthcare costs rise and around 51,000 people will lose coverage. We’re moving backwards.
TSA employees are working without pay to keep Americans safe in the skies during this Republican-led DHS shutdown. Democrats are fighting to negotiate commonsense reforms, but Republicans refuse to show up and restore DHS funding.
Republicans promised Americans that the cost of basic necessities would be at an all-time low. They LIED. Families are paying more. In #NY05, the average monthly grocery bill has reached $1,116. Sadly, hardworking families are feeling the strain of this affordability crisis.
Republicans would rather keep DHS shut down than negotiate a bipartisan deal to rein in out of control ICE agents. They know ICE needs oversight but they still won’t support Democrats’ common sense reforms. Taxpayers deserve accountability. Americans deserve better. youtu.be/wTvLF2zuceg
It's been ONE MONTH since the Republicans shutdown DHS. TSA agents have missed a full paycheck, there are travel delays nationwide, and masked ICE agents are still out of control. Democrats remain ready to negotiate a bipartisan deal. When will Republicans get serious?
I’m disturbed by the violent attack at Temple Israel in Michigan. Antisemitism is intolerable and has no place in our communities. My heart goes out to our Jewish neighbors across the country during this difficult time. www.bbc.com/news/article...
I'm deeply saddened by the passing of Major Sorffly Davius, a proud Queens native and decorated American patriot. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. We are grateful for his courage and lifelong service. His legacy won't be forgotten. haitiantimes.com/2026/03/11/s...
Happy #InternationalWomensDay! As we continue fighting for equality and justice for women around the world, I'm reminded how proud I am of the women in my family. Their strength, resilience, and compassion inspire me every day.
After years of unnecessary delay by the Speaker, the plaque honoring the heroism of Capitol Police during the Jan. 6 insurrection was installed in the dead of night & without a formal ceremony. The families, friends, & colleagues of the fallen officers deserve more. www.cnn.com/2026/03/07/p...
