How it started -------> How it's going
Project 2025 has ALWAYS been the MAGA playbook.
Russ Vought is an extremist who would be at the forefront of the Trump administration's attacks on vulnerable Americans by taking a chainsaw to programs like Medicaid, SNAP, and the ACA.
The GOP claim that the 199A tax break supports small businesses. But the truth is, genuine small businesses get very little benefit.
The GOP wants to continue this farce by purporting to help small businesses when really giving massive giveaways to the wealthy.
At its core, the GOP tax policies are about one thing: ensuring the rich get richer. The Trump Tax Scam flowed directly to the pockets of the wealthiest Americans, leaving the rest of us to fight for crumbs. The TAX SCAM 2.0 won't do anything differently.
Trump's DOD pick wants to *RESTORE* the names of military bases formerly named for CONFEDERATE GENERALS.
It couldn't be more clear he is unfit to lead.
We need military leadership focused on the future, not determined to take us backward.

$806 billion: how much big corporations spent on stock buybacks in 2018, instead of passing their Tax Scam giveaways on to workers.
The GOP can say what they want, but the proof is in the numbers. Tax cuts for corporations don't 'trickle down'.

Today, @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social will hear about proposals to extend the Trump Tax Scam.
Democrats will work with anyone to make life more affordable for American taxpayers -- But I won't support tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations paid for on the backs of the working class.
🚨 Tomorrow, the Senate will consider Pete Hegseth’s nomination. He’s totally unqualified, out of step with American values, and dangerous. His outdated views on women and far-right extremism have no place in 2025.

If your plan is to take healthcare from children, seniors and struggling families to pay for tax cuts for the richest 1%, it’s not a budget plan — it’s a values statement. And it’s a damning one.

🚨"Trump tax cuts, if made permanent, stand to benefit highest income earners"
The Trump Tax Scam didn't 'trickle down' to workers, it didn't give breaks to the middle class or small businesses, and the Tax Scam 2.0 won't either.

So which is it, MAGA Mike?
‘Legislative malpractice’ or a great investment in America?
Per usual, Republicans vote No but take the Dough.

Even removing pandemic era losses, President Biden's economy added more jobs than any president this century -- record growth.
But Republicans only consider the economy good if their billionaire donors are happy with corporate tax cuts and cheap labor.

Looks like President-elect Musk got a lesson in arithmetic.
Though given all the GOP blustering over purchasing other countries and renaming bodies of water, I'm hoping geography and international relations are next up on Republicans' educational journey.

Republicans said a recession was inevitable. They were praying for failure. Instead, Democrats delivered:
✅ Millions of good-paying jobs
✅ Booming manufacturing
✅ Historic workforce investments
Watch them be the first in line to take credit as this growth continues.
🚨"Medicare beneficiaries who take a lot of pricey medications will get a big break in 2025"🚨
Thanks to President Biden and Democrats’ legislation, we're working to ensure seniors don't have to choose between refilling their prescriptions & paying their bills.

STATEMENT: Congresswoman Gwen Moore Elected Vice Ranking Member of Ways and Means Committee, Appointed to Subcommittees on Social Security, Tax Policy, and Work and Welfare @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social
ICYMI: The guy that says the January 6th Committee needs to be investigated is the same guy who said the Jan 6 tapes couldn't be released without blurring the faces of rioters.
Consequences aren't the same thing as retribution, Speaker Johnson. Not that the GOP knows the difference.
Donald Trump promises to ‘drain the swamp’ but he’s putting so many swamp creatures on his payroll that DC is about to be classified as a protected wetland

No one should have their financial future ruined because of medical debt. The Biden Admin’s decision to ban medical debt from credit reports is a big win for working people!

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
