For those in the Sacramento region who celebrate, I wish you a joyful #LunarNewYear. 🎆🐍 This new year is the year of the snake — which represents wisdom, transformation, and leadership.
As @energycommerce.bsky.social Subcommittee on Communications & Technology Ranking Member, I’m pleased that our first 2025 hearing is on spectrum. If we’re going to remain the pacesetter for global innovation & close the digital divide, then we need to maintain consistency in our spectrum policy.

As SEEC Co-Chair, I strongly condemn President Trump's executive actions that benefit polluters at the expense of hardworking Americans. I will not stop fighting against his efforts to dismantle federal climate programs and trample our environmental protections. matsui.house.gov/media/press-...
Her work to advance reproductive rights, women’s rights, civil rights, and voting rights helped countless women and families across this country. Her legacy will inspire countless more. My prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
Dr. King’s words ring true now more than ever. We stand at a time of great uncertainty. We must be vigilant to protect our most sacred democratic principles. To stand up for civil rights, voting rights, and the most voiceless and underserved among us. #MLKDay
For too long, Big Pharma has locked lifesaving prescription drugs behind a barrier of expensive costs. That’s why I fought hard to end the ban on Medicare negotiating directly with drug companies. I’m proud that Congressional Democrats & the Biden-Harris Administration accomplished this victory.

As @housedemocrats.bsky.social lead on the CHIPS and Science Act, it's wonderful to see all the progress of the CHIPS for America Act since it became law in 2022. In California, the CHIPS Act has spurred projects that total over $454.6M and an estimated 3,800 jobs.
Proud to have secured over $9.5M in federal funding for Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT)'s Dos Rios Multimodal Station Access Improvement Project. With this project, we’re enhancing mobility and igniting economic growth for River District residents. matsui.house.gov/media/press-...
As Congressional Rare Disease Caucus Co-Chair, I spoke at the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy Cell & Gene Therapy Forum. Cell & gene therapies are providing hope to patients with all kinds of diseases. We must keep working to support funding for these treatments. #WhiteHouseCGT
As the 1st airport to secure a @usdot.bsky.social TIFIA loan, Sacramento International Airport is going above & beyond with financing solutions that opens opportunities for our world-class airport. That’s why I've been a longtime advocate for SMF federal investments. matsui.house.gov/media/press-...
The launch of the Cyber Trust Mark is crucial to give consumers better information about their IoT devices. With increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, our defenses are only as strong as the weakest link in the chain. That’s why this effort is critical for our cyber future.
US Cyber Trust Mark launches as the Energy Star of smart home security
My @housedemocrats.bsky.social colleagues and I will continue to push for progress to improve the economy, lower the cost of living, revitalize our infrastructure, and keep our communities safe.
