Mobile Office Hours: March 31
My team & I are hosting mobile office hours at Queens Public Library in North Forest Park on Tuesday, March 31, 1:00pm-3:00pm. Stop by to ask questions & receive assistance with federal agencies like the VA, IRS, Social Security, & more.
Address & details👇
I’m grateful to the first responders at the scene and will continue to follow updates as the NYPD investigation continues. (2/2)
My heart goes out to the family and loved ones of Nishath Jannath, a Woodside resident who tragically lost her life in a late-night accident involving a garbage truck. I’m praying for them and the Bangladeshi community as they mourn this sudden loss. (1/2)
I met with EMTs from Queens and across New York State on Capitol Hill this week. These dedicated first responders save lives in our most critical moments. We must ensure they have the resources they need so they’re always ready to respond when an emergency strikes.
Attn Veterans: VA Intake Day
My team and I are hosting a VA intake day Tuesday, March 31, 10am-2pm, at Haspel-Staab VFW Post #551! Reps from the VA will be available to assist with VA claims & answer questions about your VA benefits.
To RSVP, reach out to my office at (718) 358-6364.
Kash Patel fired agents responsible for tracking threats from Iran — then he was targeted by Iranian hackers.
I sent him a letter asking why those agents were fired and if Americans are now at risk.
I’m still waiting on a response.

Where are the tariff rebate checks he promised? Is this just another broken promise? (2/2)
Gas, groceries, utilities, health care – everything keeps getting more expensive.
The President promised lower prices and peace, but tariffs are driving costs up and war in the Middle East is pushing the price of a tank of gas higher every day. (1/2)
But they’re stalling and punishing TSA workers while ICE and CBP get blank checks.
I’m a NO on any bill that funds ICE without accountability.
A quick update on DHS funding:
If House Republicans really want to end the chaos at our airports, they should bring up the bipartisan bill the Senate passed last night to fund TSA, the Coast Guard, and FEMA — without giving another dollar to ICE.
Big news for Queens! A brand-new YMCA is coming to Flushing 🎉 I secured $1.5M in federal funding to help build a state-of-the-art facility — with NYC’s largest pool! Can’t wait to see it come to life for our community.
I joined Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and the South Asian Coalition on Capitol Hill to discuss immigration and labor reform. Proud to work with Adhikaar, Chhaya, and others fighting for fair wages, worker protections, and a just immigration system for our South Asian communities in New York.
As a member of the Democratic Women’s Caucus, I’m fighting for the Paycheck Fairness Act, so every worker gets paid what they’re worth.
Today is Equal Pay Day — the day women finally catch up to what men earned last year. For the 2nd year in a row, the pay gap has worsened: women make just 81¢ for every $1 men make, down from 83¢ in 2025.
It’s 2026 — we should be moving forward, not backward.
Opening Day is here! Let’s go Mets, make it a season to remember! #LGM
My colleagues and I on the Food Safety Caucus are calling on the FDA to recall Raw Farm cheese immediately, so no one else gets sick.
Raw Farm is capitalizing on false MAHA claims to push risky, unregulated products, which are sold in NYC. At least seven people have gotten E. coli from their cheese, yet they refuse to recall it on their own.
Congress can fund TSA without writing a blank check to ICE.
Let's get this done.
High School Artists: Join my Congressional Art Competition!🎨
