My colleagues and I in the @demwomencaucus.bsky.social know how detrimental this budget bill would be for the American people.
We’ve been pushing back with amendments to protect health care all afternoon, and Republican House leadership is trying to push this ugly bill through.

House Republicans REFUSED my amendment to protect health care under Medicaid and food assistance under SNAP.
I’m back in DC to fight against this catastrophic bill.
We only need 4 Republicans to have the courage to protect the American people and join us in voting NO.

Republicans’ 'One Big Ugly Bill' is simple: tax cuts for billionaires, paid for by kicking 17 million people off their health care.
Senate Republicans just passed a budget bill with VP Vance breaking the tie to push it through.
It kicks millions of kids and families off their health care, guts food assistance, and puts hospitals on the brink. It's not what the American people want.
House Dems are taking up the fight next.
This month marks 60 years since Medicare was officially signed into law. It has helped Americans live a dignified retirement and have access to the health care they need.
In the midst of cuts to funding from Republicans, it's vital that we all defend and strengthen these important programs.
With over 100 gun deaths in America each day, these proposed actions are a threat to public safety and to our communities.
🚨The so-called Department of Government Efficiency has entered the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms with the goal of destroying dozens of gun regulations and reducing ATF inspectors.
In places with fewer doctors, patients will be left without the life-saving care they need and more clinics will close.
This is Trump's America.

The Supreme Court's latest ruling green-lights Republican plans to defund reproductive health care, which means that millions could lose access to care for physicals, cancer screenings, and birth control.

Our nation is struggling with a shortage of health care providers, and in some areas the closest one is over an hour away.

Proud to have worked with @pelosi.house.gov, @robinkelly.house.gov, @mikethompson.house.gov, @mcbath.house.gov, and so many others to get this bill signed into law. While this bill was a historic step forward, we must continue to fight for common sense gun safety laws.
The appropriations bill House Republicans are debating today takes resources away from our veterans and guts access to reproductive care.

Thank you to the 13,800 people who tuned in for our Telephone Town Hall event with special guest @raskin.house.gov!
It’s important that we continue to stay in touch about what’s happening in DC.
Today, the Trump administration continues to attack reproductive freedom.
We must take a stand to restore these crucial rights and again make Roe the law of the land.
Three years have passed since women lost the fundamental right to choose with the Dobbs decision.
I struggled to start a family like so many in our country do, and the care I received saved my life.
We just finished an inspirational Gun Violence Awareness Month panel at the historic New Hope AME Church in Buckhead.
Thank you to Georgia State Sen. Elena Parent, Georgia State House Rep. Michelle Au, Dr. Randi Smith of Grady Hospital, and Brent Bailey with Community Justice for joining us!
Grateful to have Brent with Community Justice and Aaliyah with Tyme to Thrive join me and fellow change makers for a Gun Violence Prevention panel here in Atlanta.
Hear why they wear orange for gun safety 🧡

Republicans are pushing to make it easier to get gun silencers with their latest budget plans.
Make no mistake: this makes our friends and families less safe. We demand that our colleagues join us in keeping common-sense provisions in place to help end gun violence.
Political violence is never the answer and must end. Everyone must condemn these targeted and brutal attacks.
