I went to Minnesota last week after a mother was shot and killed by ICE.
Today, another person was shot and killed in broad daylight.

We will not be silent. We cannot be silent. And it’s shameful that Republicans see what’s happening in Minnesota - what’s happening to our country - and refuse to say a f’ing word.
The Trump Admin and complicit Republicans have empowered DHS and ICE to beat, maim, and kill Americans on our streets, in broad daylight.
I’m praying for our country and for people to realize that this is not an agency that can be reformed or fixed. The violence must stop. Noem must be impeached.
Grateful for Mayor Solomon’s partnership as we work to keep our communities safe.
Jersey City is my home & where so many families have planted their American roots.
At a time when Trump is using ICE to intimidate & terrorize families, it’s more important than ever that leaders at every level stand up to protect our residents.
We must do everything we can to protect our communities.
Glad to have Rep. McIver and Rep. Watson Coleman as partners in this fight for the safety of our cities and towns.
Communities should trust that their elected officials are acting in their best interest, and this bill will help do exactly that.
After supporting stock trading ban legislation, I'm proud to have signed a @housedemocrats.bsky.social petition to force a vote on this bill that would ban Members of Congress, presidents, and vice presidents from owning and trading individual stocks.
An American mom shot in broad daylight. A 5 year old boy taken outside his home.
I won’t let Republicans be comfortable in their silence.
53 years after Roe v. Wade, Republicans have ripped away the right to reproductive freedom from women across the country.
We will continue to fight Trump and the House GOP's attempts to further erode the rights that women have over their own bodies and health.
Great to be with APAICS yesterday to discuss our shared priorities and the importance of ensuring the AANHPI community is represented in the work we do.
I'm proud to partner with orgs like APAICS to work on affordability, immigration, and other critical issues.

I joined @momsrising.org advocates to hear their concerns about affordability, healthcare access, early childhood education, and to talk about the work @housedemocrats.bsky.social are doing to address these critical issues.
Trump and House Republicans are DISCO-connected from the issues that matter to families-- making it harder for them to stay afloat.
I stood with @replamonica.bsky.social outside Delaney Hall last May, and I will continue to stand with her as she fights a political prosecution by the Trump Administration.
Read more about the events of that day and the unfounded charges being pursued by Trump's DOJ:
The congresswoman LaMonica McIver arrived at Delaney Hall, a federal immigration jail in Newark, on May 9th. She was joining two other New Jersey Democrats—Bonnie Watson Coleman and Robert Menendez, Jr.—to tour the facility.

Under the Trump Administration, no one is safe from ICE's intimidation and aggression tactics.
Not police officers, not Members of Congress, not U.S. citizens.
We must stand together - for each other and for all of our communities.
Today was a great day for New Jersey!!
Congratulations to my friend @MikieSherrill on being sworn in as the 57th Governor of New Jersey!!!
Mikie is a proven leader, and I look forward to working with her and her administration to deliver results for all New Jerseyans.
Our joint statement with @repbonnie.bsky.social and @replamonica.bsky.social in support of immigrant protection legislation in New Jersey.
Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. embodied the fight for civil rights and justice in America.
His legacy endures not only in memory, but in our responsibility towards carrying out his work forward. Now more than ever, I remain committed to advancing equality and justice for all.
