📍Elizabeth Fire Department Open House 👩‍🚒 Our firefighters put their lives on the line to keep us safe, & they should be able to live in the communities they serve.
📍Bayonne’s First Annual Heritage of Pride Festival 📢 Honored to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community today! I’ll always fight for a future where everyone can live openly and with the dignity they deserve. 💪🏳️‍🌈
📍Jersey City Soccer Association opening day ⚽️ 🫶Excited to kick-off the start of the season with so many friends and neighbors today. Wishing all the players, coaches, and families a great season ahead.
The Trump Admin just carried out a massive ICE raid in Georgia. And let’s be clear: this is no longer about dangerous criminals. This is about ripping communities & families apart. House Democrats will continue the fight to ensure due process & press back against this unlawful Administration.
Law enforcement agents raided a Hyundai factory in Bryan County, Georgia, on Thursday, arresting nearly 500 workers in the largest worksite raid since President Trump retook the White House. The majority of those arrested are South Korean nationals.
Always grateful - and especially today - for the bravery of the JCPD officers who put their lives on the line to keep our community safe. As we learn additional details about this shocking act of violence, our team is ready to assist our city and state partners in any way we can.
House Democrats will continue fighting to make life better for everyone we have the privilege to represent in Congress. To listen to the full episode, click the link in our bio.
I came to Congress to get things done and deliver results for our constituents every single day. My question to House Republicans is: if you don’t believe in Congress, or in making laws to improve people’s lives, what are you doing here?
The FCC just voted to strip access to hotspots & Wi-Fi on school busses for millions of Americans without reliable home internet. Just as school begins, Republicans are cutting off the connectivity students and seniors depend on—while doing NOTHING to lower broadband costs in return.
No student should have to sit in a parking lot to find a Wi-Fi connection to do homework. The FCC’s E-Rate Program can close this connectivity gap for families who don’t have reliable internet access at home, but Republicans are putting it on the chopping block. That’s wrong. Watch 👇
Great speaking with @zerlinamornings.bsky.social about the current state of the Trump Administration & how we all must be in this fight - together. It will take all of us to recover & build towards a better future but I believe with every fiber of my being that is exactly what we will do.
We're keeping up the pressure on the FAA to address helicopter noise in our community & will continue to do so until they take meaningful action. We consistently hear from our neighbors that this is impacting their quality of life. That’s why we will not relent in this fight. 🚁🔨
If Republicans can attempt to silence a Member of Congress, they can do it to anyone. She's not backing down, and neither am I. Honored to serve the people of New Jersey alongside her today & every day.
ICE continues to cause irreparable damage in our communities. And Trump’s spending bill quadruples ICE’s budget, giving this federal agency a budget that mirrors that of the 20 largest militaries in the world.
Whether it's at Delaney Hall or the halls of Congress, I'm proud to stand alongside her as we continue to protect our NJ communities and hold this Administration accountable - together.
@replamonica.bsky.social came to Congress to fight for the people she represents, and that's exactly what she has done even while Republicans try to silence her.
McIver's case will be an important test of what, if any, guardrails remain to prevent the Trump administration from siccing a pack of Justice Department lawyers on anyone with the temerity to question his administration’s authority. Story: www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...
Before House Republicans passed the OBBB, healthcare providers and patients were sounding the alarms on the harm the bill would cause. We listened, we voted against it. House Republicans? Not so much. Watch below and click the link in our bio to listen to the full episode.
