Yesterday, I had the honor of hosting a Medicaid roundtable at North Hudson Community Action Corp. With proposed cuts threatening essential care for millions—especially kids, seniors, and those with disabilities—it’s critical we stand together to protect Medicaid.

We can never forget that we are a nation of immigrants. And our communities are stronger because of the contributions of ALL of our neighbors.
That’s why we are standing with them in these challenging times.

We've heard from constituents concerned w/ what’s happening in DC. That’s why I hope you’ll join me & @replamonica.bsky.social for a Tele-Town Hall on Mon., Feb. 24 at 5:30 PM.
We want to hear from you & help make sense of all the news & the impact on our communities.
Dial in at (833) 998-0897!
We'll always stand up for immigrants & their vital role in our communities.
Private detention centers like the one in Elizabeth run counter to the values of our district & our state.
That’s why, w/ @replamonica.bsky.social & @repbonnie.bsky.social, we're working to prevent their expansion.

Honored to join New Jersey City University alongside @replamonica.bsky.social to celebrate their partnership with Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey in launching the Hispanic Business Hub, expanding opportunities for Hispanic businesses and students!
Medicaid is a lifeline for thousands, including cancer patients. With funding at risk—not just for Medicaid but also for the National Institutes of Health—we must take action. Grateful to meet Evelyn, Volunteer Lead Ambassador for @acscan.bsky.social, fighting for lifesaving care.
Now more than ever, we must protect our data and strengthen cybersecurity. I was glad to visit Hudson County Community College, sit in on their Database Design class and meet the next generation of cybersecurity leaders.
Today is Presidents Day. And while our current President prefers activities like attending the Super Bowl & Daytona, in his place he trusts an immigrant from South Africa to run the country & the son of immigrants to do our foreign policy. Looks like immigrants really do make this country run.
Thankful today and every day for these valentines.
Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. 🫶
Our seniors are the heart of our community, and today, we joined our Harrison seniors for a Valentine’s Day celebration.
It was great to show our love and appreciation and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring they access essential resources like Medicare and Social Security.
Trump promised affordability BUT:
📈 Inflation is up 3% in 3 weeks
📈 USDA predicts egg prices will rise another 20%
That's why I joined my Dads Caucus colleagues to figure out what the hell the admin’s plan is to lower prices. Families deserve answers, not excuses.

Did you know nearly 1 in 5 people in NJ rely on Medicaid for health coverage—mostly kids, pregnant women & our most vulnerable neighbors?
Right now, Republicans are negotiating trillions in cuts that would take health coverage away from kids to pay for corporate tax breaks.
That’s unacceptable.
Parks play a vital role in bringing communities together, which is why I’m committed to leading the charge to ensure they continue to thrive.
Thank you, Deidre, for recognizing our efforts. Read 👇

Trump firing NLRB Board Member Gwynne Wilcox is illegal & weakens labor law enforcement, leaving workers vulnerable.
That’s why I joined the @laborcaucus.bsky.social in demanding the Trump admin reinstate her immediately. A fair & functioning NLRB is essential to protect workers' rights.
As we thought they would, Republicans are coming after Medicaid - cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans by cutting healthcare for the most vulnerable. More than 80,000 children and 21,000 seniors in the Eighth District rely on Medicaid for health coverage. We'll keep fighting for them.

With all the challenges we face as a nation, it fills me with pride to see the youth in our community eager to serve our country. Today, I had the honor of calling a high school senior from North Bergen to share the exciting news—he’s been accepted to West Point!
Gary Greenberg embodied public service, dedicating his life to uplifting our community—especially our youth. As Executive Director & CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hudson County, his impact was profound. Honoring his legacy was a privilege, and his contributions will never be forgotten.
As a member of @energycommerce.bsky.social, I’ll be on the front lines pushing back. @housedemocrats.bsky.social won’t stand by while Republicans strip away healthcare for kids, pregnant women & vulnerable families. We’ll fight to protect Medicaid & make sure the American ppl know what’s at stake.
