Just a few months ago, President Trump pardoned hundreds of January 6th insurrectionists who brutally assaulted police officers, and now his administration is targeting a Member of Congress, @replamonica.bsky.social, for exercising her congressional duty of oversight. This is a disgrace.
Last night, Republicans pushed through their tax scam in the dead of night because they know how wildly unpopular it is.
It rips healthcare away from seniors, veterans, and working families to give handouts to billionaires. We see what they are doing, and we're not backing down.
Pleased to see that NJ Transit and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen reached an agreement to end the strike and move forward with a vote on this contract. This is an important step toward a fair deal for the workers and NJ families who rely on public transit.
I join millions across the nation in offering prayers, strength, and hope to him and his entire family.
President Biden has been a leading champion in the fight against cancer. Now, as he confronts his own battle with the disease, he does so with the same strength, courage, and resilience that defined his life of service.
Trump and House Republicans LIED to you.
They told the American people they wouldn't touch Medicaid. Now they're taking healthcare away from seniors, children, veterans, & people with disabilities. All so that they can afford to give their billionaire friends tax cuts. The stakes couldn't be higher
Supporting families means supporting access to affordable, quality childcare. Anything less harms our kids, their parents, and our economy. We must protect this valuable program from the Trump Administration’s plans to eliminate it.
60 years ago today, the Head Start program was created to provide early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families. Trump and Republicans in Congress are cutting Head Start programs.
Our civil servants work to ensure our food is safe to eat, our air is safe to breathe, and our sky is safe to fly. Trump & Musk are putting politics over the American people by firing workers with complete disregard for the impact it will have on all our lives. Our workers & country deserve better.
Everyone should have the freedom to be their true self. Today is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. On this and all other days, we must stand up to hate and discrimination of any kind, including against our neighbors in the LGBTQ community.
71 years ago, the Supreme Court struck down “separate but equal.” That ruling was a turning point — but not the finish line. The fight for equity in education continues, and we still have work to do to make good on that promise.
Republicans lied to the American people by promising that they wouldn't touch Medicaid. This week, they voted to pass a bill that would gut Medicaid and leave 8.6 million Americans without health insurance.
Read my op-ed about what these cuts could mean for our region:
My statement on the New Jersey Transit Strike:
As a union electrician, I know how important it is to give workers a voice and protection from unfair labor practices. Every worker deserves the chance to join a union, and the PRO Act will enshrine this basic right into federal law.
I served with Bill and know how much he loved the City of Patterson. I'm glad to have joined the entire New Jersey House delegation to sponsor this bill and look forward to seeing this become a reality.
This week, the House passed a bill to rename parts of Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park in honor of the late Bill Pascrell.
SNAP feeds millions of kids so they can learn and grow by helping working families afford to put healthy food on the table. Republicans want to gut the program. Cutting food from hungry children isn't leadership or budgeting, it's just cruel.
This is what Republican “fiscal responsibility” looks like:
✅ Supporting tax cuts for the rich
❌ 8.6 million Americans losing health insurance
Traveling abroad this summer and have a passport expiring soon? You should consider renewing it now. Many countries require passports to have at least six months validity remaining in order to enter. Check travel.state.gov/destination to see what your destination requires.
When the big banks crashed the economy, it was working families who paid the price. The CFPB was created to make sure that never happens again.
I joined over 200 former and current colleagues to defend it from Trump and Musk's unconstitutional actions.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
