Last week we marked 5 years since the terrible East Troublesome wildfire devastated communities across Grand County. Grateful to join local leaders & community members to discuss resiliency, recovery, and the work ahead. 🏔️🏔️🏔️
The proposed acquisition of Tegna — the parent company of 9News — by Nexstar, would make it the largest local broadcasting company in the country & threaten local journalism in Colorado and beyond. Proud to partner with @bennet.senate.gov in imploring the FCC to reject it.
Had an incredible week traversing Northwest Colorado, connecting with folks in communities large and small and hearing directly about their priorities. 🏔️🏔️🏔️

Where is your Member of Congress during this government shutdown? For five straight weeks, House Republicans have refused to re-open the House, refuse to negotiate, and even refuse to hold town halls. Disgraceful.
Grateful to everyone who came by our “Congress on Your Corner” event yesterday in Boulder — appreciated your thoughtful questions & suggestions!

Last night in Granby, I hosted my 17th public town hall — the most in Colorado’s delegation this year! While House Republicans continue their paid vacation, refuse to reopen the House, and refuse to hold town halls, I’ll keep showing up everyday — and in every community.

The cuts to SNAP benefits by House Republicans — coupled with the government shutdown — have created a crisis for countless Coloradans. Grateful to convene a discussion with local food banks & civic leaders yesterday as we develop a community response to help hungry families across our state.

When you represent a district larger than 8 states, you understand the importance of showing up in EVERY single community. Excited to traverse Colorado’s 2nd district today — with visits to 3 counties, 5 cities, a town-hall (our 17th this year!) & a whole lot of coffee ☕️ Stay tuned! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Republicans’ cuts to Medicaid and rural hospitals, coupled with their failure to extend ACA tax credits, has created a healthcare crisis for working families in rural Colorado. Grateful to meet with health care providers across Grand County yesterday to discuss the road ahead.
This summer, I asked Republicans why they bothered attending committee hearings, since they’d been ordered by the Speaker to stay silent throughout. They took it literally — and have gone from refusing to debate, to now refusing to show up at all. A shameful debasement of the People’s House.
House Republicans are not only refusing to negotiate — they’ve shut down the House entirely & left for a continuous five-week paid vacation. My interview with @meiselasb.bsky.social on @meidastouch.com.
Gilpin may be Colorado’s second smallest county, but its residents are some of the most welcoming & gracious in our state! Grateful to spend yesterday visiting with folks lending a helping hand at the local Food Pantry — we'll continue to do everything we can to support their efforts. 🏔️🏔️🏔️
