Our bill wold allow Congress to hold hearings and gather evidence we might not get through the impeachment process. We must take Trump's threats and clear mental decline seriously. The damage this man could do over the next three years is horrifying to imagine. We simply can't take that risk.
Trump’s recent behavior leaves little doubt that he no longer has the fortitude and faculties necessary to serve as President. @raskin.house.gov is leading a bill that would create a nonpartisan commission to assess Trump's fitness under the 25th Amendment. I'm a proud cosponsor of this effort.
Trump and Republicans campaigned on lowering costs for everyday Americans. They’ve only made things worse—for family farmers, and for the millions of people who depend on them. If we want to get out of this mess, common-sense legislation like the FFRA is a great place to start.

$29 BILLION FOR FARMERS.

$28 BILLION FOR FAR FAMILIES

REAL RELIEF FOR THE AMERICANS TRUMP LEFT BEHIND
I’ve heard from many farmers who’ve been hurt by Trump’s tariffs. Either they can’t afford new equipment, or they're struggling with huge increases in input costs (diesel, fertilizer, etc.)—and can’t make ends meet. The FFRA would address this crisis. Republicans refuse to bring it to the floor.
Just because she was fired doesn’t let her off the hook. She’s still required to comply with the subpoena. The American people deserve the truth, and the victims deserve justice—not more coverups and corruption from people who only care about protecting the president from accountability.
Pam Bondi was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions about her role in the Epstein files fiasco. She didn’t show up. Republicans are letting it slide, saying any outrage is “purely performative.” BULLSHIT. Those contempt charges can’t come fast enough.
@GOPoversight spox: "Garcia's outrage today is purely performative.
"Last week, the Department of Justice indicated that Pam Bondi would not appear for the April 14 deposition because she is no longer Attorney General. We will work with her personal attorney to reschedule."

Top Oversight Dem, Robert Garcia, vows contempt effort targeting Bondi since she didn't show up for deposition today

"She must appear before the Committee, and if she continues to ignore the law, Oversight Democrats will move forward with contempt proceedings ...

Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. Robert Garcia, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, released the following statement after former Attorney General Pam Bondi missed the scheduled date of her deposition before the Oversight Committee. Pam Bondi is attempting to evade a lawful bipartisan subpoena the Committee issued last month. The subpoena was issued following a bipartisan vote supporting a motion by Rep. Nancy Mace to subpoena, "the Honorable Pamela Jo Bondi," and not just the Attorney General.

"Pam Bondi is evading a lawful congressional subpoena by failing to appear before the Oversight Committee for a deposition about the Epstein files and the White House cover-up. This subpoena applies to her regardless of her title. She must appear before the Committee, and if she continues to ignore the law, Oversight Democrats will move forward with contempt proceedings immediately. We will fight until there is true accountability and justice," said Ranking Member Robert Garcia.
How Congress responds now will determine whether every person who works in this institution feels safe reporting misconduct without fear of retaliation. Perpetrators of sexual assault and harassment must be held accountable. No title, no office, and no political affiliation changes that. (3/3)
Serving in Congress is a privilege that comes with tremendous responsibility. These men exploited that privilege to abuse the people who trusted and worked for them. The women who came forward are courageous. They deserve to be heard, and they deserve justice. (2/3)
🧵 Multiple credible accusations of sexual assault and harassment against Reps. Swalwell and Gonzales demand swift, serious accountability. They should both resign immediately. If they do not, they should be expelled from Congress. (1/3)
A man who embraces war, glorifies cruelty, and threatens mass civilian suffering is attacking the leader of 1.4 billion Catholics and posting AI slop of himself as a Christ-like figure "healing" America. I can't imagine anyone conducting himself in a manner more hostile to the teachings of Jesus.
AI-generated image of Donald Trump posing as a Christ-like "healer" touching the forehead of a man in a hospital bed and surrounded by adoring Americans. There's an American flag and bald eagle in the upper left corner.
Trump is attacking Pope Leo for saying the obvious: War with Iran was a choice, innocent people are suffering, and threatening an entire civilization is morally indefensible. He's been clear that leaders should be working for peace, not death and destruction. Trump’s response? This insane rant.
Pope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy. He talks about "fear" of the Trump Administration, but doesn't mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart. I like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn't! I don't want a Pope who thinks it's OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don't want a Pope who thinks it's terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country. And I don't want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I'm doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History. Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise. He wasn't on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn't in the White House, Leo wouldn't be in the Vatican. Unfortunately, Leo's Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested. Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It's hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it's hurting the Catholic Church! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Dismantling + controlling public media. Enriching himself + his oligarch friends while the working class struggled. Manipulating elections and installing judges of his choice. Destroying the economy. Sound familiar? As Steve Bannon says, Orbán was Trump before Trump.
I was fortunate to be in Hungary in the late 90s and saw how their new democracy was flourishing. Over the course of past 16 years, Viktor Orbán has hollowed out Hungary’s newfound democracy piece by piece.
To watch these 4 amazing people travel farther than any human being ever has. To behold the breathtaking images taken by Integrity. To remember the amazing feats humankind is capable of—*if* we have the will to push ourselves. Congrats, crew! You're forever heroes in our eyes. Welcome home. (2/2)
We have splashdown! So relieved to see the crew of Artemis II—Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen—arrive safe and sound off the coast of San Diego. It’s been such an honor to follow their journey—and share that experience with the rest of the world. (1/2)

Between tariffs, this disastrous war, and surging gas prices, Maine could see a drop in tourism. When you add inflation—which just saw its biggest jump in 4 years—the outlook looks even murkier. If we do see a downturn, we'll know why: Trump’s terrible policies are making EVERYTHING cost more.
