Boston is a safe, welcoming, & vibrant city.
This authoritarian Administration doesn't care about safety — they only care to divide, fear monger, & target vulnerable people.
But we won't let them, and we'll always treat our neighbors with the humanity they deserve.
Fare-free transit gives commuters the chance to traverse their community without having to worry about cost.
Our Freedom to Move Act pushes for more fare-free transit funds to eliminate financial barriers, connect communities, & help folks take advantage of the things that make the #MA7 a model.
The Shield Act expansion takes a critical step to defend bodily autonomy as Trump & Republicans attempt to restrict essential healthcare.
Grateful to @massgovernor.bsky.social, state leaders, & reproductive justice advocates for fighting for the care & dignity of our patients & providers.
Every worker should expect safety, dignity, and respect on and off the job.
But institutions have long shielded sexual abusers and silenced survivors.
Our bill is a critical step towards protecting workers and ensuring accountability for sexual discrimination, harassment, and abuse.
If we are to hold powerful people to account, we must center the voices they tried to silence.
I'm leading @oversightdemocrats.house.gov in calling on Congressman James Comer to allow survivors of Epstein's abuse the opportunity to testify before Congress, if they wish.
Our interns play a critical role in supporting our office as we fight for a more just, equitable Massachusetts 7th and country.
A special thank you to Mercy, Claudia, and Caydon for their incredible work this summer session.
My heart goes out to the people of Cabo Verde impacted by the overwhelming rainfall and flooding brought by Tropical Storm Erin.
Many Cabo Verdeans call the #MA7 their home and I stand with our community members and their loved ones that are harmed by this tragedy.
Grateful for the opportunity to greet our Boston Latin Academy Ward Fellows in Washington, DC last month.
I hope you continue down the path of public service. Our communities and country need you.

Pleased to team up with @ocasio-cortez.house.gov and @pressley.house.gov to reintroduce legislation that combats sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.
We’re fighting for protections, transparency, and accountability for workers and the public.
Rather than release the Epstein files to support survivors and hold perpetrators accountable, Trump is trying to disgrace Martin Luther King Jr.
It won’t work.

The Israeli government is deliberately blocking aid from entering Gaza.
This is nothing short of a genocide, creating a man-made famine crisis to starve children and families. The US must use every tool available to urgently get critical aid into Gaza.
90 years ago today, Social Security became the law of the land.
9 decades later, and Republicans are cutting benefits, raising the retirement age, & handing seniors hard-earned money to Wall Street.
Our elders deserve to retire in dignity & receive their earnings in full.
Republicans had an opportunity to help working families and disrupt intergenerational poverty.
Instead, they created Trump accounts for the rich to get richer.
If they truly cared about our babies, they would support our Baby Bonds bill.
It is the responsibility of the Smithsonian museums to ensure a full, accurate, and resonant telling of our shared American history.
Trump has no right to censor, whitewash, or replace it with false narratives forged with white supremacist ideology.

DWC Reproductive Health Care Task Force Co-Chair & Liaison @pressley.house.gov is calling for a hearing with other @oversightdemocrats.house.gov so survivors abused by Epstein can share their truth.
The American public deserves to hear it and these survivors deserve justice.

Abortion care is health care. The EACH Act would ensure everyone — no matter their income, insurance, or zip code —can get the care they need. We are proud to support this bold legislation for abortion justice. Thank you @pressley.house.gov and @duckworth.senate.gov for leading the way.

Thank you @pressley.house.gov for bringing attention to DHS’s abusive DNA collection program in Congress this week. The public deserves transparency about how federal immigration enforcement handles people’s sensitive genetic material.

"Healing, transparency, accountability for these survivors is important, and they deserve it, and it is long overdue." Rep. Ayanna Pressley tells Jen Psaki she is "already in touch" with Maria Farmer about coming to the House Oversight Committee with her testimony.
I'm relieved and grateful she and a few other children from Gaza have made it to Boston but thousands have been denied the life saving care they need. The genocide and suffering must end NOW.
Welcome to the Massachusetts 7th Rahaf. You are loved and welcome here.
Rahaf was evacuated from Gaza after suffering burns and shrapnel wounds from an Israeli airstrike.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
