Absolutely not – RFK shouldn’t be making decisions about the health of kids and pregnant women without any medical background. “Make America Healthy Again”? Not with zero doctors, no science, and a platform built on conspiracy theories. apnews.com/article/covi...
Our government should work for you – and we’re here to make sure it does just that. We recently helped Brandy finally get her overdue tax refund after months of waiting. If you’re having trouble navigating a federal agency, my office is here to help cut through the red tape.
Big day! Sam’s first @ushousefsc.bsky.social hearing. Today, we offered legislation to make sure our resources are going towards helping our veterans put a roof over their heads — not paying for tax giveaways for the most wealthy Americans.
Like far too many Americans, my family was impacted by the opioid crisis. That's why I introduced a resolution to make today, April 29th, National Fentanyl Awareness Day—an opportunity to increase awareness about the dangers to prevent further tragedies and protect the next generation.
Stripping funding for CASA will be devastating for our most vulnerable kids — those facing abuse or neglect — who will be left without the advocacy and support they need. Trump is stripping away the limited resources we have for kids who need it the most. All to give more billionaires tax breaks.
If Trump really wants to end the war in Ukraine, he should stop siding with Putin over our democratic allies. For years, Ukraine has fought for its survival – while Trump has empowered corrupt dictators and turned his back on freedom and democracy.
If you want to encourage people to have children we need Paid Family and Medical Leave, affordable and safe child care, universal preschool, and access to housing and basic necessities. Unfortunately, the Trump Administration is making it more difficult for regular people to make ends meet.
Colorado’s natural beauty and resources are what makes it one of the best places to live—but this Earth Day is a reminder that the places we love are all at risk if we don’t urgently work to address climate change and the threat Donald Trump poses to the progress we’ve made.
Saddened by the passing of Pope Francis. His papacy broke barriers—fighting for the poor and the marginalized, championing our planet, and calling on global leaders to act with humility and empathy. We should honor his legacy by striving for a world rooted in dignity and kindness.
Happy Easter to everyone celebrating in Colorado and beyond! For many families, Easter is a time of renewal, reflection, and hope—a chance to come together and celebrate new beginnings. Wishing you a joyful holiday filled with peace, happiness, and time with loved ones.
I’m back on the road visiting some of our rural counties to share updates from Washington and hear directly from community members about their concerns and the impacts the disastrous Republican budget cuts will have on their community. Thanks to everyone who came to our first stop in Leadville.
@repbonamici.bsky.social and I led 58 of our colleagues in demanding answers from Trump’s appointees at FEMA after the abrupt halt of the BRIC program, which delivered billions for wildfire prevention to protect our communities. Ending this program now puts lives, homes, and schools at risk.
Trump is defying a unanimous Supreme Court ruling to return Abrego Garcia who was in the US legally, never committed a crime and was wrongfully deported to an El Salvador prison. His next plan is to start deporting American-born citizens too. This is illegal, unconstitutional, & unconscionable.
Horrifying. Though there may be political disagreements in this country, we must never normalize or tolerate political violence. My thoughts are with Governor Shapiro and his family as they seek accountability and look to rebuild.
