Congratulations to Peter Decker, III, on his selection as the Norfolk Citizen of the Year in Civic Affairs by the Norfolk Cosmopolitan Club
Peter has been actively involved in community service and philanthropy efforts in Hampton Roads for many years
This honor is well deserved

Trump claims he made a bunch of deals with Big Pharma to lower drug prices. Now he is asking Congress to codify these deals.
There is only one problem. They refuse to tell Congress exactly what is in these deals.
Democrats are not going to rubber stamp Trump's shady drug deals.

WATCH LIVE: Secretary Kenny testifies before the House Committee on Education and Workforce. ⤵️
Since taking charge of HHS, he has recklessly undermined confidence in vaccines and public health institutions, and Americans are paying the price.

I voted against Donald Trump's reckless war in Iran.
NEWS: House effort to end Trump's war with Iran fails by one vote
213-214.
Republicans are sticking by Trump in favor of the war.
Among Rs:
—The only NO was Massie
—1 (Davidson) voted "present," 3 didn't vote
All but one Democrat (Golden) voted YES.

The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available at 988 and the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available at 1-800-799-7233.
This heartbreaking situation is a painful reminder that mental health challenges and personal crises, when left unaddressed, can have devastating and irreparable consequences. Seeking help must be encouraged, supported, and free of stigma.
I am shocked and saddened by this senseless and horrific tragedy. I am praying for the entire Fairfax family and their loved ones, most especially Justin and Cerina’s children.
I confronted Trump’s OMB Director about the Big Ugly Bill adding $4T to the deficit.
I also asked him if the Trump Administration intended to leave a better budget deficit than the one they inherited from the Biden Administration.
His response (or lack thereof) is telling.
Enjoyed the presentation of the Newport News State of the City Address this evening by Mayor Phillip Jones
Great things are happening throughout Newport News!
I was honored to give remarks during the Commissioning Ceremony for the USS Harvey C. Barnum Jr (DDG 124), a vessel that will be an incredible addition to our Naval fleet and an honor which will memorize Colonel Barnum’s service for generations to come
A Medal of Honor recipient and Vietnam War veteran, Colonel Barnum distinguished himself as a U.S. Marine Corps officer and as Former Acting Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs
Today, at Naval Station Norfolk, we celebrated the extraordinary service of Colonel Harvey C. “Barney” Barnum, Jr.
This afternoon, I participated in the Dollar Tree Employee Townhall with Senator Warner and Senator Kaine
I appreciated the opportunity to hear directly from workers about how their families are being impacted by runaway gas prices and inflation
I joined Senator Warner and Senator Kaine this afternoon at the VA Ship Repair Association’s Maritime Roundtable
We had a wide-ranging discussion about the state of the industry and what is needed to ensure that Virginia continues to be a leader in Shipbuilding and ship repair
Earlier today, I attended the U.S. Coast Guard East District Change of Command Ceremony, where Rear Admiral Jay Vann was relieved by Rear Admiral Zeita Merchant
Thank you Rear Admiral Vann, for your service during your term and welcome to Hampton Roads, Rear Admiral Merchant
Glad to see Virginia taking action.
Raising the minimum wage is good for workers, good for business, and good for the economy.

Statement from House Democratic Leadership on Donald Trump's threat to kill a whole civilization.
The Joint Chiefs and all military personnel must be aware they can be held accountable long into the future for war crimes that are committed in the present.
